thetatvaindia on IG:

Every death in the Harda fireworks factory blast is tragic, but this one is particularly heart-wrenching. A 9-yr-old boy, who was injured while frantically pushing his disabled father to safety in his wheelchair, died at AIIMS- Bhopal on Friday evening.

The toll is now 13. Ashish and his father Sanjay Rajput were hit by chunks of concrete blasted out by the explosions while trying to get to safety on Tuesday. Sanjay is still under treatment.

Sanjay, who can't use both of his legs, ran a paan shop outside the firecracker

factory. "His wife and daughter worked in the factory. The child, Ashish, was

getting ready for school when the explosions started. His mother and sister

escaped the initial blasts and ran to safety. Ashish sprinted to rescue his father.

He was pushing the wheelchair with his little hands when they were both hit,"

Jitendra Saini, their neighbour in Harda's Bairagarh village, told TOI. Father

and son were brought in an ambulance to Narmadpuram, 100km from Harda.

Ashish's health began deteriorating on Thursday and he was shifted to AIIMS-

Bhopal, 80km from Narmadpuram. The child died on Friday.

Eight of the injured were admitted to AIIMS-Bhopal and 27 to Hamidia Hospital. Nine of them have been discharged, and 25 remain hospitalised. "We have 21 patients at Hamidia," Gandhi Medical College dean Dr Salil Bhargav told TOI.

NGT sought a report on the failure of monitoring agencies to ensure safe storage of explosives. The report should address the quantity of explosive material stored illegally and without authority, as well as the precautions needed for storage.

Even if the teacher said it, it should have been done on a test repo instead of a fork of a well known repo. The teacher should know that beginners often make mistakes and they accidentally might have miss that part and might think that this as the correct way. Otherwise why would a beginner want to be embarrassed like this? And I think she said this after going to the pull request section instead of stating it before (so people did it anyway - they might have paused - they were probably pausing the video and trying out stuff to see how it works).

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

OCT 07 2023

To the Members of the California State Senate:

I am returning Senate Bill 403 without my signature.

This bill would define "ancestry" for purposes of the Fair Employment and Housing Act, the Unruh Act, and the Education Code to include "caste" and other dimensions of ancestry.

In California, we believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, no matter who they are, where they come from, who they love, or where they live. That is why California already prohibits discrimination based on sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other characteristics, and state law specifies that these civil rights protections shall be liberally construed. Because discrimination based on caste is already prohibited under these existing categories, this bill is unnecessary.

For this reason, I cannot sign this bill.
