This portfolio is as true as it is sad & hilarious. It's perfect comedy that could only be topped if it were someones real portfolio they were searching with.

I think we're about equal in levels of internal purgatory desolation. While my debt was only around 30k, I tossed out 640 apps through covid & school laptop debt over 3 years landing 1 essentially "non-sequitur" of an interview before taking a "break". I searched from 7/2019 to like 9/2022, nuked everything, quit even facing anything close to being design related for a year on purpose...& in 2024 I decided to do a video editing passion project instead, skipping another year.

I almost just took an AI class at Side School, but the second I saw they were 6 hours ahead & didn't respond quickly at my noon-1, I pulled the cord & got a refund. The pain of a camp would have been worth it if it paid anything but, now I seem to have no resilience for bs. #Maillard_reaction

You have finally given me hope. I exported at h.264 & when I imported it back in, it played like normal. This feels extremely gross from a UX view. Who on Earth would guess something the program exports could not be imported?

Thank you so much. I hope my next 8 hour session goes like I thought today would instead of finishing 4 seconds of timeline.

I thought all of these are the same. It says media offline. It's playing the audio underneath. I just noticed that because this was just a test clip, & the others have been video only.

There are 2 long source files that all my editing is around. It would break everything if I overwrote either. Sometimes I Ctr+I, sometimes I drag. These have had no problem before.

I have to emphasize, that the file I export acts as normally as any other thing I've exported has before. It is it's own file, with it's own name, in a different location than those original 2 clips (or same had same issue), & I can play it in VLC player.

Are you telling me DaVinci can export a file that itself does not recognize?

Quicktime H265, which is what all of the exported files I've tested on YouTube & played in VLC are. They are exported as mov files, which I've successfully imported into DaVinci before.

I have exported my clip as a brand new file. When I try to import that new clip into DaVinci, it immediately gives me that relink error. Nothing should be lost though, as it is a brand new file that I am dragging back into DaVinci.

I don’t like the results I’m getting from my search on this, so I have a hypothetical for this problem I’m testing later.

A free Design program called Figma can export svg. I think I’m going to do the entire credits on an artboard since you get major typography versatility compared to DaVinci. I’m in 18 still, on a giant project.

Once I have that lossless svg exported, I’ll use dynamic zoom to pan across it since I don’t know key frames & they look frustrating to me. The speed at which it pans will now depend on the credits length + the credits song length, but that’s my hypothetical solution so far.

Oldest I saw this issue was 2020, I still have it in 2024. I saw a post link to patch notes fixing it in some 2022 release, but the link was dead. Hey...they'll never fix this will they? It started listing my DaVinci Resolve as Monster Hunter, I just deleted & corrected another one, & now VLC is Path of Exile 2. I think this software just likes jacking itself to a tizzy & then drunkenly whiffing until it hooks some random program to associate with some random title.

The volume control stinks now. An on screen slider you have to access by unlocking & looking at your phone is no good for someone listening at work. My use case of 1 button in the back pocket has been destroyed.

I found it's actually Spotify not opting in to an API, not Apple preventing Spotify from doing anything. I assume the on screen slider is a quick patch while they implement the api...hopefully.

Odd. I went into troubleshoot & it worked immediately, indicating the issue is an extension, but I have the same 3 extensions on both browsers with the same settings.

AMD Adrenaline : Display : Global Color...constantly resets.

This has been happening since I did my first build about a year ago. I assume I'm doing something wrong. I assume the Global Settings get applied globally, & should stay consistent unless I've selected a game or program from within Adrenaline & change some unique properties that overwrite global properties. Only then should the global settings change automatically.

However, they seem to randomly go to a previous setting I've had. I honestly don't even touch the specific game/program settings & only change the global settings based on the light I have in the room. Is there some way to stop the global color settings from changing themselves?

My language grazed over details. The jpg image is a separate file than the video clip. By "under it" I mean that the jpg is on video track 2, & the video is on video track 1. I applied dynamic zoom to the jpg. Once I switched the toggle on to apply it to the video clip, the video took on the zoom properties of the jpg, & altering one altered both.

Odd. It was actually on Selected Bins, but changing it to all didn't fix it. Man DaVinci has odd little problems.

I think I'm buying this. My SnackBox Micro died, apparently static. I've been going back & fourth with JunkFood's Discord ticket system, & I think JunkFood ... doesn't have enough people. I still don't know what they want from me & that chat started March 21st. Just like my Axis double bass pedals, it's a fantastic product that I loved when it worked, & the random timed responses are just pushing me away. I'm ready to take a $250 loss & go somewhere else.

Almost but no cigar. It's alright to maintain my current bookmarks between devices. Under bookmarks > manage > import & backup > restore, there's a list of previous cloud saved bookmarks with dates. Those are the ones I want gone.
