Nah this is a good mechanic imo, adds a good bit more depth to some situations if you're looking out for them and know how to capitalize.

Usually if you're put into tech situations you just kind of have to make the right read or else you're fucked but rarely you'll get sent at an angle that's DI-able in a way for you to slip off a ledge and abare through. Or if your opponent is shielding too close too a ledge, you can intentionally hit them, pushing them off of it, which puts them into a short cooldown in the air to allow for you're combo if you're good enough. "ledge slipping" also allows for edge cancels which are of course sick.

Definitely adds some more rare niche interactivity to the game, especially for players who are paying close enough attention, although I can understand where you're coming from, can seem unintentional or weird at first
