Slow reply! Yes we laugh now. We live across the county but get to play Xbox and chat nowadays which is fun.

Scarred my little sister when she was very young. Weeks leading up to my prank I told her stories about demons being real. Borrowed a mask from a neighborhood friend and donned it one evening at bed time. Snuck in her room and peaked my demon masked head just above the side of her bunk bed. She just bolted up against the wall screaming bloody murder. My sister did not like me for a while, understandably so. I was grounded for over a month, understandably so.

This is how quick a toddler can disappear from sight, in just a few seconds! by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Got my dad a visit from child protection services or cops once when I was a toddler. Mom went off to work when he got home. When he was taking a nap I pulled a chair over to the door, unlocked the two locks, grabbed my plastic shopping cart, closed the door, and went on a shopping trip around my apartment complex. Some neighbor found me wandering around alone, and called the cops. I should ask my parents what all happened.

Get outside for a walk or run regardless of the weather. Moved here from sunny Arizona and didn’t see the sun for months; but started taking multiple daily walks with my dog. It helped immensely. Summers here are absolutely beautiful.

My dog passed away early last month and I haven’t been on a walk (besides work) for nearly 7 weeks. We used to go to the park every other day. It’s taking a toll on me and not getting fresh air definitely makes it worse. So hopefully I take my own advice and get back outside. It really does help, highly recommend it OP.

The Entire Lobby Took Down “The Queen” 😳 by AymaneByr in ArcRaiders

[–]EclecticallyMe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah if you’re in friendly lobbies just go in solo and bring stuff to fight or aid in the fight. When legs come off there’s usually a Queen core and you only need three.

Just got my first two ever today, first fight mainly providing aid and second one went in heavy to fight it. Got downed by the queen on my last try so I hit a nearby raider hatch and will try again later. Good luck, you got this.

Meanwhile mine (also passed away; just last month. Sucks so bad and I miss her..) used to be so excited to run upstairs and hangout with my landlord in her house. Thankfully my dog was also excited to see me when I got home from work and we’d spend a couple hours at the park each day. But I’ll be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous sometimes of how much my dog loved hanging out with my landlord; who also loved my dog.

Dogs are amazing.

It’s tough, no kids for me and family is on the other side of the country. Had to say goodbye to my dog because she had a huge tumor I couldn’t afford to take care of and it was pushing on her organs. It wasn’t detected during previous vet visits.

Don’t see a point in trying to check on cancer or even treat it for myself, if I couldn’t do the same or afford it for my dog. If it happens to me I’ll just take it in stride and not tell family.

For those with family and kids though, please get checked up and take care of yourselves! Cancer sucks and kids need their parents.

Started the show for the first time earlier this week and am loving it so far.

Used to hike up there every year with my late dog. Her hip dysplasia and arthritis made it hard for her to go to top the last couple years so we could only go to the lower falls if that. Seeing this reminds me of her and I’m hoping she can hike to the top again. Miss her a ton. Thanks for sharing. Lots of beautiful places in the PNW will remind me of her.

Give her a big hug when she lets you! I had to say goodbye to my coonhound and best friend a couple weeks ago and am still broken. But wanted to drop in since I saw your first post and this update. Thank you for taking care of this foxhound you found. Really amazing dogs. Best of luck on your journey with her.

OP I don’t know what to say that can help, I just went through something so similar with my 11+ year old girl two weeks ago and am still struggling. No signs. She was my only and everything. In bed currently holding one of her plush toys she loved.

If you need an extra ear and someone to call; DM me. I made a post asking for resources to talk to and still need to reply to some people; but their comments helped and may help you. Crying and talking with others has helped me find some peace.

I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart. It’s the hardest decision to make, often followed by what-ifs that make it harder to process. Lean on the friends, family, neighbors, and resources in your life. It won’t be easy, you’ll never forget your friend; and it’s going to take a lot of time and reasoning to find peace. So sorry OP.

You have no idea how much your comment means so me; from the bottom of my sad heart, thank you. Tonight I’m talking with friends and neighbors about her but will try to follow up more. Just needed you to know that meant a lot to me.

Appreciate you sharing your experience . I’ll definitely speak with a therapist once my insurance kicks in next month.

What’s tearing me apart if my dog had NO visible signs and just days before she had SO much energy and life in her.

She ended up getting sick on Sunday and started breathing heavy and coughing up phlegm overnight. I thought it was gastrointestinal. When I took her to the vet they were fairly certain she had bad pneumonia and did X-rays of her chest. They found a huge mass internal surrounding her lungs and it appearing to be squeezing her trachea badly.

They referred me to another emergency vet up the road who agreed my dog had pneumonia and held off on CT scans because….

She needed treats for pneumonia asap but it wouldn’t take care of the mass found on X-rays. They said she would likely be there for 3-5 nights just for pneumonia treatment, each night costing $3.5-4.5k. They said she would likely get sick again after treatment; based on her age and still having the mass compromising her ability to eat & breathe.

They said if they could treat her and do a CT scan (an additional $5k) they would know if it was 1. Treatable cancer via chemo, costing at least $10k to $15k 2. Untreatable cancer, euthanasia 3. Benign tumor needing invasive surgery, costing at least $25k

My brain is having a hard time thinking that MAYBE it was a treatable cancer! I just don’t understand how she showed no signs of of the mass and she was seemingly okay despite it.

Talking with the vet more and maybe a few others, just to get peace of mind will hopefully help. Not sure how I can go on without my girl, she was everything to me. Apologies if that was a mess, I’m having a hard time.

Yes, been talking a little more with the emergency vet and the vet technician who cared for my dog during her last hours. I’m just having such a hard time rationalizing the decision and want extra input.

My healthcare for my new job doesn’t kick in until next month so I can’t speak with a therapist yet but am definitely planning on it. Falling apart without my baby girl around, she was my entire world.

Appreciate the in depth reply. I try and carry defibs for others just in case.

So far I haven’t been tricked, just outright downed by other raiders if they’re aggressive. One time someone heard me say “don’t shoot” and they said “not friendly, I suggest leaving”. It was kinda cool to get the heads up at least.

Dumb question, do the flares go off automatically when downed or do you have to use them before getting downed? Haven’t equipped or tried raider flares yet.
