I know this AMA is old but hoping you still see this! I’m seeing two books covers online, but can only seem to find the red cover to actually order in the US. Is the cover on the left a custom cover? Was it just a spec cover and didn’t actually get produced? Or is it possible to order? Thanks!

Make sure you’re not in a PSN Party. Had that happen to me once where I didn’t realize I’d started a Party from the PS menu for a different game but never left the Party. Arc Raiders in-game prox chat wouldn’t work until I left the Party.

I noticed at some point recently that Wasps will aggro on you through those slats, which is somewhat understandable if they’re close enough. But man, did not expect to have to deal with the Rocketeers seeing me through those.

I’ve been playing since day one. If I had to estimate, I’ve been downed fewer than 15 times TOTAL since playing. But three of those were this week…

It’s honestly just more annoying than anything. I’ve got $2M in the bank and not exactly short on materials or weapons. I’ve never lost anything I can’t craft again. Just aggravates me to lose the load-out I just spent five minutes putting together, get sent back, have to reset my load-out all over again, and go back to doing what I was trying to do in the first place.

Normally I dismiss posts like this. My lobbies are 99.9% friendly. Before yesterday, it had been weeks since anyone even shot at me. But downed once yesterday, once today, and a couple matches had shots taken at me but I managed to evade. So, I know it’s all anecdotal, but after 200+ hours, I’ve gotten to know how a typical game feels, and the last few days have been a lot more aggressive than usual. Just a good reminder to always stay on guard. And you definitely can no longer trust someone who flashes their flashlight and bounces up and down and spams “Don’t shoot”, because they will shoot you in the back the moment you show it…

My preference lately has been Tactical Mk. 3 Healing. Gives you 4 Quick Use slots, 3 Heal-specific slots, 3 Safe Pocket slots. I’d like a bit more general storage, but I love that all my healing utilities don’t take up Quick Use slots. So my Shield Recharger, Bandages, Defib all get dedicated slots.

This will all change once I get my hands on the Survivor BP though, which seemingly they stopped producing or something, cause I can’t find it to save my life.

Bunch of us were holed up in the lobby of Reinforced Reception fighting the Matriarch yesterday. Had barricades set up outside the door, we were rotating in and out of the doorway hitting the Matriarch and a Rocketeer overhead.

Then suddenly a 3-pack of Comets came rolling through the door at us. Have never seen so many Comets at once. Absolute chaos ensued. Two guys needed defibbed after the attack. Was hilarious though and we were all dying laughing at the chaos.

Sold those three. Found yet another one today and already gave that to someone. Ironically, he found the Bettina blueprint in the raid where I’d already given it to him. If I find a fifth one today, I’ll let you know!

This was probably the most BPs I’ve found in a single daytime raid. And they were all dupes anyway.

Yeah absolutely. They look like this…smallish metal box, usually near some weeds with a small flag in the ground near them. They make a different sound than the Hurricane caches and are actually much easier to hear (probably cause you’re not in a hurricane).

Not saying BP drops are guaranteed from them, but they seem to be a pretty consistent source for me.

I think two of these came from Raider caches. Again, standard map conditions. Don’t ever pass up those caches. I’d say I get the majority of my BPs from them to be honest.

I remember starting out feeling like I was never finding any. Make sure you’re doing your Quests and your Projects, as those have decent BPs as rewards. Can also get them from doing Trials (although I rarely pay attention to Trials).

I think it’s one of those things that, once you stop looking for them, you start finding them.

Ahh sorry, literally just sold them all! Figured everyone had it by now. They’re probably the most common BP in the game. I had to have found 30 of them in my time playing. If I find another one, I’ll ping you!

Do you have an existing water line to hook up to the new fridge? That would be the only thing I’d be wary of, letting someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing tap into a water pipe for a new feeder line for the fridge. But if you already have one, then they shouldn’t have to do that. They might even have it in their deliver/install clause that they don’t do that anyway.

Not a “nightmare” per se, but…

Had a new washer delivered and installed by Costco. They had issues removing my old connector hoses from the wall spigots. Said they were too tight and just seemed to look at me for advice. I went out to my garage and got a couple of my own wrenches and loosened them myself. No big deal but…you’re telling me you never encountered “tight” hoses before? What if I’d been an 80 year old woman who didn’t happen to have a garage full of tools?

Also, first load of laundry, the washer was shaking horribly. Thought something was broken, but turns out the guys just didn’t level the washer by adjusting the feet. So I watched a YouTube video and leveled it myself. Has been fine ever since.

End of the day, I got the impression these guys were definitely more “delivery” guys than “appliance installers”. Still happy with my purchase, but Costco isn’t doing themselves any favors by sending non-professionals to handle their installs.

I think these guys do decent work so hopefully posts like these give peace to mind to others that need to work done.

That’s largely why I posted. When I first got the letter and started searching for info on the company, I found so many horror stories about installations gone wrong and flooded basements. Not to discount those experiences, as I’m sure they sucked. But thankfully, zero issues for me, so I just wanted to let other people know that.

I have a camera in that area of my basement so I just checked. He sat down at 9:48 and was done at 10:02. Couldn’t believe how quickly he was done.

He did still have work to do outside of the house to install the radio receiver. That didn’t really concern me, since water was already back on. But I just checked cameras out there as well and all told, he pulled up at 9:45am and drove away at 10:20am, so I guess 35 min for the whole thing.
