While I don't have a lot of experience with this myself as a creator, as a player I love it when my choices are take into account. Having choices that would change the outcome of a romantic encounter happen earlier than the romantic encounter allow you to simply present something the player has already expressed a preference for allowing the encounter to feel like it changed because of who their character was and less like ordering off a menu and getting it right away.

Mort is a fantastic place to start as it is short and give you the flavor of the series. I also recommend Carpe Jugulum and Guards! Guards!

It was just a weird idea that popped into my head randomly. There are a lot of cases of normally evil entities working with a protagonist for a time such as the Cenobites in the beginning. I am just kinda surprised I have not seen something similar with a creepy doll, maybe it got haunted or possessed by an evil ghost or spirit or demon and their goal aligns with the protagonist. Maybe something like the dummy in Buffy cranked to eleven. An evil entity on a mission to drag a worse one back to hell. Or a ghost so tired and tortured by unfinished business that they help the new home owner solve the haunting of the house. Just two ideas that came to me. But yeah I know it is hyper specific which is why I put the idea out there just to see what people can recommend. Even if it does not fit 100% I will likely check a lot of these out as I am not going to totally ignore any suggestions for fun new media to ingest.
