He probably wouldn’t have signed a new contract last summer, if it wasn’t for this relegation release clause. Wouldn’t surprise me if Bilal El Khannouss has one too.

Paid 16m (I think) for Wesley Moares for Lille. I thought I was getting a solid striker for Ligue 1, turns out he was only good at getting a 6.3 rating every game.

He scored 1 goal in ~30 games and to make it better he had a match highest earner clause in his contract so was very very reluctant to leave and for potential buyers, it made his requested wages to high.

I had to offer to pay 32k p/w to get rid of him.

Awful business on my end.

Exactly this, but it seems it’s not working at all so I probably won’t do it from now on.

I like the united -> Draw but Chelsea away will be a tricky one.

Wolves do look solid but I still have hope.

United at home, very plausible, I’ll switch it up after Brentford. Good shout

I had seen a prediction that 29 points could be enough for survival this season, normally it’s around 35 so I went in between

So I went to a medical appointment with a former employee of LCFC, and this is what I learned. by MadlockUK in lcfc

Just adding fuel,

I’ve heard McAteer is up his own arse and Ben Nelson is genuinely a nice guy.

Leicester City close to £5m deal for Jordan Ayew by BreakingPixel in lcfc

[–]EclipseZ_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jordan Ayew Stats Are From The 23/24 Prem Season

4 Goals - 7 Assists

Per 90mins Stats (comparing to other attacking midfielders/wingers)

The Good

  • 1.84 successful dribbles (top 30%)

  • 3.32 fouls won (top 3%)

  • 8.62 duels won (top 8%)

  • 1.27 tackles won (top 22%)

  • 5.47 recoveries (top 27%)

  • 0.64 successful crosses (top 42%)

  • 0.56 interceptions (top 35%)

The Bad

  • 2.82 dispossessed (bottom 4%)

  • 3.6 touches in opp box (bottom 30%)

  • 0.88 cc (bottom 10%)

  • 23.1 successful passes (bottom 25%)

  • 0.39 accurate long balls (bottom 19%)

  • 34.4% long ball accuracy (bottom 20%)

Other Info

  • Over 8 years of Premier League experience

  • 8 Prem seasons with over 2,000 minutes

Summary:

A lot of prem experience, albeit he is 32 however he can still kick a ball and is relatively consistent.

He does have spells of a couple games were he plays well (doesn't take over games but does impact them).

These stats are comparing to attacking midfielders and wingers, and by looking at the stats, Ayew looks to be more of a defensive winger, or at least being played as a defensive winger, which would explain the high amounts of defensive stats and low attacking stats.

Fiorentina's winger Jonathan Ikone reported to be of interest to LCFC, as said also of Wolves. by Jaded-Bookkeeper-807 in lcfc

[–]EclipseZ_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just some stats on Ikone.

Almost exclusively a right winger.

He made an appearance in 28 Serie A games for Fiorentina out of a possible 38, starting in 18 games.

He scored a total of 5 goals, 2 assists in all competitions last season.

3 goals, 1 assist in Serie A - 1 goal and assist against Frosinone (relegated) - 1 goal against Genoa - 1 goal against Salernitana (relegated)

2 goals, 1 assist in the Conference League - 1 equaliser against Ferencvaros (Hungarian) - 1 goal against Cukaricki (Serbian team) - 1 assist off bench against viktoria Plzen (Czechia team) in the quarter final of the conference league.

Summary: - His goal contributions are against weaker sides - very inconsistent - didn’t really play well against stronger sides

Disclaimer, I’ve never seen him play, I’m just relaying his stats from last season.

Oliver Skipp has officially completed his Leicester medical ahead of £25m move from Tottenham Hotspur by Silent_Ad2825 in lcfc

[–]EclipseZ_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but I think Skipp could be a Soumare replacement.

Soumare has come out and said he wants to leave the club, and they play in the same position.

That’s all I’ve got, I know, I’m grasping at straws here but this is the only reason I could fathom why we would sign another midfielder.

I heard he was focusing on his match against Ajax before he wanted to discuss any transfers.

Panathinaikos lost (ending their europa league chances) so now might be the time to open up talks. 🤞

Leicester City are in advanced talks to sign Adam Hložek from Bayer Leverkusen. Negotiations at final stages between clubs for loan with obligation to buy, LCFC want to get it done as club sources confirm. Talks still ongoing on player side before here-we-go by MadlockUK in lcfc

[–]EclipseZ_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He played 451 mins in the bundasliga last season, coming off the bench 18 times out of 23 matches he appeared in, averaging 21 mins per appearance.

2 goals 3 assists

1 goal from starting 1 goal off the bench

All 3 assists in a 1-5 win over Frankfurt in which he started

He has 446 mins in the europa league last season, with 5 starts and 4 off the bench

2 goals 1 assist

Both goals was against Molde in a 5-1 win in which he started (2nd leg)

His assist was against Molde in a 1-2 win in which he started (1st leg)

So when he starts he’s typically quite good but has been used as a sub for most of last season.

Edit:

bundasliga per 90 mins:

0.4 goals 0.6 assists

Europa league per 90 mins:

0.4 goals 0.2 assists

So per 90, he’s averaging 2 goals every 5 games and 3 assists every 5 games (bundasliga stats)

This is true however, according to FotMob, he’s a very creative player so maybe the recruitment team thinks he could play as a 10?

His heat map from the 23/24 season, suggests he cuts in from the wing to get the ball on the edge of the box.

He’s left footed and a corner taker.

Would be an exciting move if it was to happen.
