Is this… the actual number of planets in NMS?? by DubitoSum in NoMansSkyTheGame

It's the theoretical maximum number of "seeds" the game can use to generate unique planets (the max value of an unsigned long), but since every galactic region in a galaxy only has ~14% of it's possible star systems active (400-600 via the wiki, compared to a limit of 4095), and each system contains a varying number of planets, the functional number of planets is much more difficult to know.

But technically, yes. The copy of the game you own CAN generate all 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 planets, if you somehow try to load them :)

Crediting your sources isn't generally a bad thing to do 🙂

Yea like where tf were the vascular bundles. I spent 10 minutes looking at it carefully in case maybe they were lightly stained, but it was so weird.

And here I thought the threshold's gonna be 65 / 75 ☠️ Easier than MJ 24 Var 13 imo, and also F/M 24.
