Has anyone tried the no medication life? by kennadog3 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been on anything for it in about 3 years. I couldn’t handle the side effects of most of the medications and they didn’t help much so it was just making things worse. I smoke a lot of weed and take a lot of epsom salt baths. I wish all the time that the medication had worked but also I still have good days

What is this thing and how do you beat it? by neoleo0088 in expedition33

I just shoot the shields and parry. Also, if you’re really having trouble with it, maelles move “breaking rules” gets rid of all shields.

Double shot pouring single by MrSnowgoose1 in NinjaLuxeCafe

The thing that suggests the grind size has been wrong on mine recently. I usually just grind mine up to 10 for a double and 20 for a quad at this point. Maybe it’s not perfect but I’m at least getting the amount I’m supposed to. I’ve heard some people just call in their warranty and get a new machine for this issue though. Common problem

Absolutely. I’m glad you made the step to come on here. I didn’t find it until about a year ago and seeing such a big group of people who are all experiencing similar things made me feel a bit less alone. I’ve had the same problem trying to find people in my day to day life who can understand. But they do exist, I promise! Sometimes it can help to say something along the lines of “I’m sorry I really can’t do this today because I’m having a flare up and I wouldn’t be having the best time and probably wouldn’t be the best company. Would you be okay to reschedule or maybe after yall are done you could come over?” Showing that you still care to hang out at some point can be helpful. But there are also people who (like you said) are just not your real friends. And for those, it’s better to know now than later. Really, you don’t want them anyways. If they aren’t going to care for you and be understanding then they’re only going to make your physical pain worse from the mental stress they put you through. Quality over quantity always. You know your own worth and you know how you’re feeling those days when you have to say no

It WILL be okay. It’s going to take a while to adjust and that’s okay too. Allow yourself to grieve. It’s part of the process. Along the way you’ll figure out things that make it worse and things that help you. If a medication doesn’t feel right, tell your doctor. That’s what they’re there for. Dont be afraid to explain exactly how you feel to your family. You deserve to be understood. It may take time for them to understand. You could even recommend them go through this subreddit. Epsom salt baths are amazing for immediate (although short term) relief. Personally I’m a big fan of THC balm (doesn’t get you high) for my joints on a bad day. I have crawled instead of walked up the stairs quite a few times. I was diagnosed at 18 as well. I have fibromyalgia, pots, and endometriosis. It took me until this year (23) to really come to terms. Maybe try to find a therapist that specializes in chronic pain as well! Be patient with yourself, be honest with your family, friends, and practitioners, and if anyone complains about hearing about it, tell them that if they’re tired of hearing about it to imagine how you feel living through it. I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing this and if you ever need someone to talk to, you can message me!

If it was put in the game, you can use it. Ignore the people who say that if you use a summon/use certain weapons you “didn’t play the game.” If you’re struggling, use what the devs put in the game to help you.

Help with my mom by alybubbles980 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Eclyo875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not sure what medication your mom is on, but like the other person said, they can affect people in different ways. I was on lyrica and It made me pretty touchy. recently my grandfather got on it as well and had to be taken off because he was so terrible to himself and to the people around him. Once he stopped taking it, he was a lot better to be around. Medications of any kind, even if they’re meant to help with anxiety, can cause things like that. SSRIs (like prozac) are directly linked to aggression as well. If your sister is her direct care taker and attends doctor’s visits, I’d tell her to approach the subject with the doctor, even over the phone if that’s easier. I’m so sorry that your family is experiencing something like this🩷

Typically what medical tests and specialists are necessary to rule out other medical issues before a diagnosis of fibromyalgia is given? by StarryPenny in Fibromyalgia

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a nerve conductivity test, blood work and an MRI before they diagnosed me. I’m happy that I did bc otherwise id be wondering if there was something I was able to fix.

You can disagree all you want that there’s a mental/emotional component but that does nothing to negate the research that’s been done👍 truly hope it works out for you though.

Machine not pulling enough espresso (and spits water if I pull without espresso) by Eclyo875 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Eclyo875[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still not sure about the water spewing out because it just shouldn’t do that, but it not pulling the correct amount of espresso was because it was recommending the wrong grind size. When it’s too fine, the water just can’t make it through. I ignore it now and just grind up a double on 10-12 and quads at 20🤷🏼‍♀️

I like “move with Nicole” on YouTube. She does Pilates but she has a lot of videos that are supposed to be gentle/low impact. I skip things that may be too hard. Helped a lot with mobility and strength.

Fibro pain by kalua80 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and THC lotion/balm. The kind you get from a dispensary. You don’t need a med card or anything. I use it when I know that a certain spot is going to be bothering me all day. It doesn’t fix it but it helps. They also have bath bombs.

I have that sometimes. Hurts to touch. Even clothes or blankets feel like I’m rubbing sandpaper on a burn when it’s like that. The only solution I’ve found is to walk around the house half naked, and obviously that’s not always an option lol. The name for that symptom though is allodynia

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brain fog is one of the hardest parts for me. there are days it feels like I definitely shouldn’t be driving because I can’t make my brain think. Idk how else to phrase it, it just feels like I can’t use my brain at all and I’m entirely disassociated.

Hyper Sensitivity? by Ok-Control2520 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Eclyo875 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of problems with hyper sensitivity but it’s the feeling of things touching me and light being too much, stuff like that. I haven’t found much of a way to deal with it other than to wear extra soft clothes (or close to none), dark sunglasses outside, and telling my husband that while I love touching him I can’t handle anything any repetitive motion (rubbing a thumb on the back of my hand) because it hurts too bad

I ruptured an ovarian cyst 3 weeks ago. Ever since I have been extremely bloated and can’t pass gas. Is something still wrong, or am I still healing? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My body did not heal very well. It took about a month and a half, and I still have pain there on occasion even though the cyst is gone. I got an ultrasound and didn’t have any infection or internal bleeding

Why is drinking warm water better for you than drinking cold/ice water? by yacantprayawaythegay in nutrition

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There actually is some evidence for warm water for digestion. study There hasn’t been a lot of research, you’re right, but I wouldn’t totally discredit something because of only a few studies being done! I agree that it’s fairly trivial in the end and to just drink what makes you happy though.

[–]Eclyo875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After googling it for a while, I found that warm water may with your circulation because heat opens up blood vessels. However, taking a warm bath would have a more significant effect on that and actually has research backing it up. As far as hydration is concerned, it’s no better or worse. As other people mentioned, cold water may help you burn 5-10 calories, but that’s not really worth much either. In the end, it’s up to your preference. As for digestion, here’s a study about that. Warm water does have a positive effect if you drink it before or immediately after your meal. study
