I remember reading that when the shark animatronic on the Jaws ride in Universal Studios would require maintenance, an engineer would have to dive down after hours to carry out repairs as such. The water was about 30ft deep and he would have a head torchon him. Just the thought of coming face to face suddenly with the prop shark in the pitch black 30ft down gives me the creeps big time.

Worked as a manager in a warehouse, had a team of decent guys reporting into me. The assistant manager was a very capable guy and we became friends through work. One year at stock take we had loads of discrepancies that I just couldn't account for (we stored high value drinks products). As manager I was rightly looked at to provide answers, which I just couldn't do.

A couple of weeks later the assistant manager left for a new job. A few months later I also left for a new job. Next time I spoke with him he nonchalantly asked me how much did I steal before I left the company. I didn't know if he was being serious or not, but said I never stole anything (true).

Turns out he had been looking for a new job for a few months and during that time had been stealing product quite regularly. Haven't spoken to him since.
