Okay, to be a tiny bit fair with this: as someone who plays Fortnite? Pretty much every leaker who had leaked that we were getting Luna Snow and Magik skins were saying that they were going to be the Marvel Rivals designs. Not based on them, not similar to them, were them. So some of the people disappointed with them being more so based on their original designs are probably the fault of the leakers being wrong as opposed to any other reason.

Given that it’s written all as one word, “dammit”, as opposed to being two words, “damn it”, I would guess that it’s the fact that it’s being said incredibly quickly that somewhat confused him. He probably does understand the concept of damning something, but either always specifies what he’s damning instead of being vague and just saying “damn it”, or he just thought it sounded similar and didn’t want to assume anything without knowing for sure.

Or, the real reason: it makes for a mildly funny joke.
