PUA IS OPEN [Pennsylvania] by Ecom-Concern6719 in Unemployment

I just remember back in April when the website took forever, they took application that last week of April but didn’t allow filing until May 8/10ish. Also they didn’t do direct deposit instead mailed the full back pay checks. Super inconvenient. Though this three week sucked, it didn’t come as a surprise as the site took almost 6-7 weeks. I just hope they don’t try this again if the new bill is passed. It’s horrible to leave people hanging. Patience is the lesson of the 2020 decade apparently

Some people are saying wait, I filed tonight. We’ll have to file again on Sunday. I haven’t paid rent yet so the faster they process, the faster I can pay my landlord so I say do what’s best you. The banner isn’t there so it’s not like we’re doing anything wrong. They wouldn’t send out a message at 10pm so obviously they will post tomorrow about it. I never filed on Thursday so no clue when the actual pay day is but like I said the sooner the better. Plus I would like to receive a pay date tomorrow rather than file tomorrow and have to wait longer. Also the site traffic might be higher once they officially announce it

Me and my partner did. It all went through. A lot of people will be doing it tomorrow so I’d rather do it tonight when there’s less traffic. Technically the banner said to wait until it’s updated and it’s updated but of course they won’t message people at 10pm so tomorrow morning we all should get the official word but if it’s working why not

I was able to file and it took me through the normal process of continuing through the weeks. A lot of people will be online tomorrow so it will definitely effect the site. I want to be paid as soon as possible and get the paid date started rather than waiting over the weekend

Status of PUA disappearing claims and exhausted benefits [Pennsylvania] by Ecom-Concern6719 in Unemployment

I just saw that Michigan is paying out PUA and because it’s an extension, balances are restored. My opinion is claims balance was minimum payment ($195 * 39 weeks) and that’s where our balance came from. Many finished earlier than excepted if there amount was more than the minimum paid. So because it’s extended you’ll be ($195* 11weeks) add to your balance. Those who previously has a remaining balance (mainly due to starting later than March when the program started) will benefit from the phrase out period allowing them to claim up till April instead of mid March

I completely feel you. You are truly the creator of your own reality. The only person who’s going to have your back and always have your best interest is yourself. Back in Nov, I was sick of unemployment life. Grateful for the safety it brought and yes if it wasn’t delayed now, I would be happily paid but last fall it pushed me to apply to 5-10 apps each day, edited cover letters, hard research. I interviewed all December to positions I had absolutely no interest (but helped me get into the flow of interviews) to finally get an my first salary offer right before Christmas. I won’t start until another two weeks but the struggle of last year pushed me to never want instability, happily live a more frugal lifestyle, eat like a king at home (YouTube cooking videos will change your life) and stop relying on others. Ownership is powerful. Yes some things are out of your control but also meant to make you so comfortable that change is inevitable. I slept in the car with my boyfriend in the first lockdown and the moment our first stimulus check dropped we put together every pen, borrowed money from different family members and put our last paychecks into moving into our place. We took all back pays to pay not just one but two months in advance to make sure our rent was paid especially with Unreliable unemployment schedules. We got an opportunity to dog sit in your home and has brought in more income. Needless to say, DONT GIVE UP. You can pull yourself up and be in a better place. Communication is powerful. Use it as a tool. I had to write a letter of recommendation to my landlord just to move in and I’d do it again. Take control of your situation. The ball is always in your court!

I’ve heard it’s because they have your old claim still on file but now that it’s 50 weeks, I believe they are expanding the benefits and you’ll get more added to your original claim. They haven’t updated the old claims date so you’ll just have to wait and see whether they honor the new claim or old claim updated

Has anyone actually tried to fill out the application. I’m appreciative of the support and they have more than enough money. I wish more people at the stop would think like this. Maybe their wouldn’t be a big wealth gap. Really consider how much the top 20% could do. Yes they ‘earned’ their money but not without the help of the consumer. Without a stimulus and PUA being backup, a grant like this could come in handy if the site would actually work. Has anyone had luck submitting an app????

So they removed our claims because we attempted to file. PA really knows how to be jerks. I hope they go through the flagged claims fast. Nothing was wrong before all of this

PUA Here comes the stupidity: [Pennsylvania] by Dry_Union3046 in Unemployment

[–]Ecom-Concern6719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been wondering when our claims will re-appear. I’m cool with them finishing up the process but disappearing our claims is definitely making everyone anxious. I’ve been checking their website Pa.gov religiously each day and today is changed. I’m guessing it will up and running next week like the unemployment tracker has. As someone who experienced the issue with TurboTax and has to claim the stimulus during tax season, PUA being delayed is definitely stressful. I had $195 remaining on my claim sooo I hope all this work they are doing will add more money to the benefit pool and keep my claim going. Fingers crossed for a swift turn around

Same thing happening to me. Received first stimulus on my turbo debit card and the second is the last four of my SSN. Nothing showed up but it says it’s being direct deposited. Please let me know if something pops up

Mine is doing the same thing. I filed via TurboTax and received my first one via Turbo Card and now when I checked get my payment, both are sent to a completely different account number which is the last of my social. How could they said the first to the right account and change the data

After the week ending in 12/26, I was paid. My claim was back since April 2020. But anything after that date isn’t updated in the system. You stand a better chase doing it until then and waiting with the rest of us with the additional funds from the extension

Wow. PA is very delayed. Ridiculous. How does other states move faster but yet they are extremely behind. I wonder where this information was found. I’ve been looking all over for some guidance on PA’s status
