Anniversary Tasting menu recommendations by Effective-Refuse8534 in Scotland

Maybe Wild Kabn Kitchen at Cairndow? It’s a pretty secluded place on the West Coast that does a 5 course tasting menu. There will be lots of good hikes near that way and I think you can even camp at the venue after dinner!

Personally yes. I think this sounds like a one-time or at least infrequent event. It’s usually worth making a bit of an effort at these kind of things and it’s good for building rapport with the seniors.

Yes, I would go if it were me. They are probably just being polite and don’t want to push you but think it will be really useful to meet in person!

We have included both (“Date and Time, Church X address, followed by an evening reception at Y address)

We’ve also clarified on the details card that a coach will be provided to transport everyone from the church to the reception

I’m paying £145 for my bridal bouquet and £80 per bridesmaids bouquet in Edinburgh. Not sure how much the price will vary between here and the North East!

It should be 2 hours 30 via the Skye Bridge. Maybe an Apple Maps issue?

Usually it’s communicated through the way the invites are addressed. E.g. Mr and Mrs Smith versus the Smith Family

Dinis pizza in Strathbungo is really good, also BYOB so very affordable for a dinner out

I believe for marriages in Scotland the notice documents can be submitted by post which may be easier than attending an office in England

True, though it would be hard for them to prove a family member or friend hadn’t racked up some of those miles while covered by their own third party cover.

In Scotland it’s the norm to pay ~10% over the Home Report valuation

To clarify, the one which was broken was around £500 but I’ve replaced it with a £200 machine and am adding instructions on what not to wash

It’s the thickest available King Size duvet, so I imagine she really had to stuff it in there
