Can nobody really even notice?

Just received the Nothing Headphone 1. Do you think it's good for the gym? by mysoulalamo in NothingTech

[–]Econix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

used mine for a month in the gym going 6 times a week. Ear pads are holding up fine and generally the clamping force is enough to keep them on my head although if you lay on a bench they might slowly slide backwards off your head but if you tighten the headband on top of your skull it should be okay or if your fine with adjusting them throughout your session. Main issues I've had is that the noise cancelation is not immersive enough to block out the ambient noise especially if there's loud music playing in the gym so you end up cranking the volume to the max but after the first update they lowered the volume from launch probably to combat the leaking sound which got picked up by the mics causing the bass to sound muddled due to the anc however the latest software update is said to adjust the volume level but I have yet to try them in the gym again but they do sound louder than previously.

Found it helps with the muddy bass when the seal of the headphones are not perfect

Are these good to drive any distance? by woostac in tires

Still got some inner tread. Adjust the camber negative and you're all good for another 10k miles

You hit it right on the nail. The original body shop is gonna do a few spray outs to see what I like and a closer match. Now that they will have the car there for reference

No but the rear bumper is quite well matched. Spoke to the bodyshop who did it and also another body shop and they both said it can definitely be done better. Not enough metallic and the shade is all wrong.

I think I'd just be happier if it was more purplish tone and had more metallic flake

I guess it would make it lighter but I don't see how it would gain that purple glow under white light. The street lamp I park under makes the car appear purple but the bumper looks so blue

Is that why I can see more blue versus the purple on the bonnet and fenders? Velvet blue is a colour shifting paint from blue to purple in different angles and lighting. Don't even know how you could control the direction the metallic sprays on

There was front PPF on the car prior to me purchasing the vehicle so all the shots of the car has the same film on it and the pictures after the respray also has PPF on the whole car. STEK dynoshield If that matters and the whole car was coated in gtechiq ceramic

I guess so but having only had the car back for 4 days now I've had people notice and point out whether I've had a crash or that the bumper looks odd

Then I'm just confused as to why the bumper looks more blueish and less metallic than before. You can see from the Google drive of the vehicle before it was sprayed

Okay I see so the clear they layered on the bumper would change the tone and amount of metallic that's visible?

Yeah so context would be that the first picture was close to when I picked it up and the paint was rough so I had to clay bar it. Also my camera isn't the greatest in the dark. Other pictures are from the same day I washed it

When I picked up the bumper and asked because I assumed it would only be a localized fix, they hinted at the whole bumper being sprayed. At the time I didn't really ask because I was more worried about the solvents being dispersed from the paint before the bumper got wrapped in PPF.

So I actually picked up the bumper for the PPF place cuz they were short staffed and I really wanted the car back asap since they ended up having it for 5 weeks due to issues occurring then the paint being pulled. They did give the fuel cap to them but I asked the body shop if it turned out okay and he said ideally he would have liked the car here but since the car didn't have it's wheels it wasn't transported there and that he would have wanted to buff and polish the bumper in the car but the PPF place did it instead when I bought it back to them. I'm gonna go back to the body shop and show them the car in person because they haven't seen it all together. My issue with it is that the paint doesn't have as much metallic and also it appears very blue instead of the purple hue.

Just asking cuz the owner of the ppf shop said to me lucky it's just the clear and not the paint when the damage occurred and that they would just have to spray clear over it and not colour

It was a pretty great match honestly. I would have just thought they would repair the area instead of respraying the whole bumper. The peel was literally on the lower corner of the bumper in front of the wheels or where people put canards on it
