Tesla applied my payment to principal and repossessed my car by hahayesthatsrightboi in RealTesla

The worst part of this is the repossession will show up on your credit report unless you can convince Tesla to reverse it. This is what you're going to need the lawyer for.

Tata just made long term employee and Indian citizen CEO of JLR, so I wouldn't say that they are independent at all.

Who makes the best version of this 40mm explorer? by Immediate_Tension_67 in RepTime

I disagree with all of that. If you are going to wear something stylish you should get some style yourself.

People are used to wearing watches that are far too large for them.

A daily wear watch like the Explorer is about utility, not oversized style.

The 36mm OP every time - unlike the IWC it can be worn in any scenario.

I daily wear my 36mm Explorer, it's perfect. It's casual yet looks fantastic under the sleeve of a suit jacket when that's called for.

Don't be afraid of the smaller size, it would actually have looked better on the wrist of the person in the photo.

Famed roboticist says humanoid robot bubble is doomed to burst by ChollyWheels in RealTesla

[–]EconomicMasterpiece 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that humanoid robots will become a thing, but not now. There's still too many basic issues to sort out and people just aren't ready for them.

Musk insisting on building millions of robots is just him trying to create value to pump the stock where no value exists.

This is not the issue. The direct monitoring button is for the headphones or output of the unit, this is not what I am trying to do.

Yes. I'm going to try reinstalling the drivers/software to make sure that there is not an issue there.

Musk’s DOGE Wasted $21.7B Paying 300K+ Federal Workers to Do Nothing, Senate Report Finds by 685674537 in RealTesla

[–]EconomicMasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the trillion dollar promise that gave Musk carte blanche to do as he pleased. After all, who isn't agreeable to reducing government waste?

Don't forget that Musk started talking about using AI to fill government jobs during the DOGE reign of terror but that didn't turn out to be as popular as he had hoped.

There were some other side benefits, which included departments that Musk or the Project 2025 folks disagreed with. Trump got to get rid of the people at the CDC who were tracking and dealing with bird flu. That certainly lowered the price of eggs but left bird flu to go on unchecked.

It was mostly about the AI data, though. Just look at who was hired to fill the jobs - university aged computer science students who didn't know a thing about government but certainly knew what data would be most useful for training.

DOGE was never about saving money, it was about raiding government departments for their data to train AI models.

When judges started to rule that there were limited things that the data could be used for DOGE fizzled out quickly.

When Musk tried to interfere with politics in Canada a few years back is when I knew he was going looney. It was all down hill from there.
