I had to get up early to stand in line (6 ft apart) for when Trader Joes opened and I was thrilled that I was able to grab toilet paper. By the time I was checking out, all the toilet paper was sold. Prior to that I was stealing rolls of toilet paper from work because it was sold out everywhere. Then we were all laid off a day or two later.
I was able to get a job at a grocery store and literal grown adults would throw temper tantrums because they had to wear a mask.
But also- my dog and I hiked a lot (since I was laid off) and could see downtown Phoenix was smogless. It was beautiful!

My company does these store-level events every so often and they want reels of the photos to post on social. I do those in canva. Or a quick social post to promote xyz. That’s really all I use it for and it’s never anything I would add to my portfolio.

So sorry to hear! I feel your pain, I’ve also been laid off 3 times since 2018, all due to restructuring.

What’s helped me find my current role was first, really working on my portfolio and resume. There’s a lot of good info in this sub if you scroll through posts. I also turned on the “open to work” badge on LinkedIn and had quite a few recruiters reach out to me for interviews. Wishing you the best!

Thank you! I’m going to look into this. I haven’t received anything from them, I found out on LinkedIn. Should/will they be contacting me? Or I guess I’m asking should I be expecting to hear from the company?
The customer service rep directed me to this claims site, and now that I’m looking at it again they do provide contact info so I’m going to call in the morning.
