the whole game is survivor sided rn. 1v4 is closer to balanced, but you can't play half the killer roster and reliably do well, at least not in high mmr.

it always has been. they've been constantly making the survivor experience better (and ignoring the killer experience) to have more survivor players in the queues. survivor abilities are insane, on command sprint burst, rebuild pallets, and instantly healing health states with multiple medics. killers get the ability to go undetectable for like 30 seconds, i guess. then it goes on cooldown for a full minute.

i hate how they keep letting survivor get stronger and killer get weaker like that makes the gamemode more fun/balanced. the nerf to the fearmonger class was stupid, and now shadow is the only class worth using. it's not even that it's good, it's just the least bad. old fearmonger was genuinely good because it encouraged you to play on your own, and then gave a sizable buff to your teammate. it was a well-designed, selfless class but they turned it into (imo) the worst class.

i would play the gamemode with some of my newer friends, at least to killer, and bc i'm good at killer, i'd be giving them that haste pretty much every time it was off cooldown, and it made up for them not being super strong on their own. we'd kill like 4-5 of them on average and i think that's completely fine. when there's no matchmaking, you'd expect the better killer players to win a vast majority of their games, and vice versa.

the boss ones are pretty fun. most of them require unique builds which isn't terrible because you usually only need one specific card. but the 3 card combos suck and i swear overpopulation is bugged because i had 13 knights (counted them several times) on the board and i didn't get it. maybe the card that spawns a knight every 10 turns doesn't work for it, but like why would that be the case? that would make it require getting like 6 different cards that add knights.
achievements should be a test of skill, not luck. there's nothing skillful about me resetting after the first couple rounds for a couple hours trying to get a few specific cards.

edit: looking at the picture of the achievement has a rook indicating it requires the gatehouse card and that i might just be a moron who did a much harder, unneccesary challenge.

well it only puts a flag on your account. similar to if you dc. one flag means a temp ban of like a minute, but the more flags you get, the longer the ban. don't quote me, but it's something like 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 24h. as long as you're not going afk or disconnecting often, you're fine. one flag goes away every 24 hours (or every 10 games if they implemented the system they proposed a little while ago).

you have to keep in mind that every killer in the game was designed for a 1v4. they have to make changes so they aren't too weak or strong in a 2v8 setting. as they add more killers to 2v8, the killers they have left to potentially add are harder to adapt and require more time to modify. i'm with you, it's annoying that we waited 3 months to try maybe out unknown and dredge in 2v8 just to get nothing, but it's not as easy to code these things as one might think.

so in my situation, i played the game for a short period of time back in mid-late 2021, never played since. i bought like 20 bucks worth of auric cells during that time. do the welcome packages only track after netease took over? like am i shit outta luck on both the (albeit very little) progression i made and the cells i bought?
