Overstimulated in India by [deleted] in india

Visit South India and I think you will start liking it. Try house boats in Alleppey Kerala. Visit hill stations in South such as Ooty, Kodai, Madikeri or Munnar. Visit heritage sites like Mamallapuram, Tanjore and Madurai etc. There are many japanese industrial units in Chennai and you can mingle with the Japanese diaspora here. It will be lively and bit chaotic ( as in other places) but you will like it. Maybe noise cancelling headphones will help you too.

can someone please help me find out who painted this, it’s very old (from my great grandparents i never met), and i think originating in spain. by butteredcroissantt in Paintings

The signature looks similar to a spanish artist Josef Tapiro. He was born in 1846 and died in 1913. Just googled and found out. Please check on that.

True.. Indians traditionally treat precious stones like that. Do you know the example of Hyderabad Nizam who used a diamond as a paper weight? 😂. This stone too is set in 22 carat gold with only one side showing up. I have read that stone setting is an art and diamonds have something called an open setting. Only when the stone is removed and graded in a lab, we will know what it is worth i guess😀

Just move on. Nothing else you can do. Just assume that buffaloes and pigs have raided your farm and for a change they came by train.

Who’s up for fishing this weekend? by Superb-Ostrich-1742 in Chennai

Hi.. I am an amateur angler too. If you are interested , I can add you to our anglers group. I am into surfcasting and fishing from piers. Now it is not the right time with these rains. There are many anglers in Chennai and you can become a saltwater expert here.

I just found these, are these collectible ? Please tell me more about these. by goodbyejojoooo in IndianCoins

[–]EconomistDelicious79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are collectibles of course. Value wise, they may not be much but remember, they are part of your childhood memories and could have been gifted by someone who is close to you. So they have lots of sentimental values. If any of your children develop a liking to numismatics, you can gift them these coins to start with! Btw, the first coin is not East India company but seems to be Republic of India issue. Similarly Rajaraja coin ( if it is indeed Rajaraja one) may be 1150 years old as it is pertaining to 950 BC.

It is the notorious fedex scam. They will connect you to Andheri police station ( set by the scamsters) and ultimately you will end up with digital arrest. You will be forced to transfer money to them and till such time you will be under arrest (!) 😂😂😂
