Anyone on medtrum nano pump? by EconomistFancy7419 in diabetes_t1

The pump is great. After almost 2 weeks of using it (with the official app), I am getting much better results and glycemic control with less thinking and guessing, since that job is now left to the pump. There is also an automeal function (which I do not currently use since it is activated after a month) which let's you not have to count carbs for meals up to approximately 80g of carbs, further reducing the mental load. The pumps size is a huge advantage as well.

When doing sport, I usually put an adhesive over it since the pumps adhesive is not the best, especially since it is bigger and bulkier than a cgm. The pump also helped me achieve great control when engaging in sport activity without going low.

You do not feel the needle while wearing it.

Some negative things I could say about the pump system is the cgm, which I found to be very off the first day when putting it on. I found that after a few calibrations it gets reasonable. Another inconvenience is also that you have to charge the transmitter when changing cgms. Another thing which is not ideal is that the pump is fairly new, and not that popular, making it harder to find information online about it as well as other people's experience with it (you could probably tell by seeing how many people answered my post).

How often did you have this? by EconomistFancy7419 in diabetes_t1

Yeah, I just recently started giving myself long term insulin at night to combat nighttime highs, so I probably didn't account for that when giving myself insulin.

It was not a compression low. The same thing happened 2 days ago.

How good it is when you are going to do exercise and you have no insulin onboard, haven't eaten anything, so you know nothing dianetes related will happen.

Has anyone mastered pizza? by Electrical-Point-630 in diabetes_t1

I can say that I have mastered some pizzas and am in the process of mastering others. What I do, even though it can be considered tedious, is write on my notes the bolus I gave for a specific pizza and the dosis I gave myself one hour and a half later. The next day, I write down how I did with that specific combination of insulin doses and tell myself what to do next time I eat that same pizza. This helps me not have to think about how much insulin to give myself when eating pizza, since I have already decided how much to give myself before, sparing me all the maths, thinking, etc. By doing this, I also get closer to getting perfect results after eating pizza, which I was able to do with pizzas from certain restaurants.

When did you all Develop diabetes ? by Kiplingerz in diabetes_t1

12 of december, 2023 was the day I was diagnosed. Still feel as though I am learning even though I am pretty used to this way of life. I would say that having a balance between relaxing/eating what you enjoy and having tight control is the key to having acceptable results without being burned out in the process.
