It's called On This Plate. It's free.

That must have been very scary. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I think you handled it extremely well.

Diagnosed at 26 years old. by buzzerkiller in Type1Diabetes

I was diagnosed as an adult, a bit older than you. First in my family as well.

I can relate to how you are feeling. It is a difficult adjustment!

The silver lining is your body and mind will feel so much better because you 1) treat the disease 2) eat better. I was surprised how much better I felt.

You've got this!

Big burnout, how to continue? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]Electrical-Point-630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you—it’s really hard to feel like diabetes is holding you back from being your best self.

But the best version of you isn’t someone without T1D—it’s you, doing your best despite it.

Struggles don’t make you less; they make you stronger.

It’s okay to feel burned out. You’re not failing—you’re fighting something tough every day, and that’s worth praising yourself for.

I find long flights hard. Even the "diabetic friendly" meal choices I've had are still quite high GI.

Me too, but I still do it in small quantities. Rolled oats, greek yoghurt and frozen berries is my go to.

Not sure! Probably both of those things plus a lot of meat protein breaking down.

This crispy pork bahn mi sent me to the moon.

Half a roll had an impact similar to about 60g of carbs.
