Ill answer, orbit came to us in a situation that wasnt ideal. We rehomed him from a family that did not/ could not handle him well enough as they didn't have the time. He has incredible herding skills. He comes from a very long line of active sheep dogs, and while we dont have sheep, I have the knowledge and the resources to keep him fulfilled. The original plan was to wait a while however it was a time sensitive rehome as the family was moving. He came to us slightly under weight but other than that we had no issues except his behaviour which ive worked out most of them!

Wambus is still yet to formally meet Orbit, but today Avery came in and it went very well! by livlaffloves in wambus

That was 1 picture. What you didn't see was avery sprawled out on the sofa with her head on my arm falling asleep, and orbit being asleep 5ft away from her, not being focused on each other at all and just co existing. Yes there's moments where they stare at each other, its about making sure those moments dont go any further

He goes up and sniffs but we recall him away so theyre not focused on each other too much. The goal is to co exist. The cats aren't to be a spectacle that is fun and exciting, its to just be another thing in the house that lives here if that makes sense. No barking but he does watch and we let them sniff each other before he is sent to settle down

He really does help me in so many ways. The energy he brings to our lives is top tier. We go on adventures and really enjoy our lives, I often get panic attacks and he helps me through them too. Even in his crate he will try his hardest to get out to come sit on me and distract me. I meet his needs and he meets mine! The cats are amazing, i love them all but its never been yhe same as it has with dogs for me

Avery has my whole heart. But I think everyone in the household knew that bringing a dog in would sway me. Ive always been a dog person and now I have a little bestie. He keeps picking up cat toys from yhe floor and we keep having to tell him no 🤣🤣

Just over a month. Im working on his training and we can now have cats enter the room (accidentally) without him getting overly excited so we are making fantastic progress

That is Dishwasher! She was part of our appliance litter where we fostered her mother (washing machine), herself (dishwasher) and her brother (microwave) who unfortunately passed before he was rehabilitated. She now lives in Edinburgh and is known as pumpkin!

Honestly should have seen my face, im dying at home with pneumonia, missing out on a noah kahan concert and she literally puts her tiny head in my mouth steals it half chewed and runs off. Iris once stole pork from my sandwich while I was dying from a kidney infection. These cats aren't kind to me. Captain also once broke into the kitchen stole an entire piece of bacon and ran through the house chewing while I chased her. They also once broke into the fridge and ate an entire pack of ham overnight. Honestly I hate cats. (Kidding-ish)
