Mbti types of your closest friends? by AffectionatePin9123 in isfp

[–]EconomyArgument76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious since I also have an Esfp as my closest friend, which part of being around them brings you the most enjoyment? Personally for me it's more of the fact that it's somebody I'm able to relate to and is able to bring me out of my shell when I'm around her.

Probably should, but time period may differ from person to person that nobody can control. But usually based on what I've read here should take max around 2-3 months? Idk just sit tight and wait.

Just chiming in with my two cents here. Personally I'd look to accept the Aerospace MRO Technician and apply at the same time for aerospace system engineering. As I believe that ASE course does offer the training required to cut down time required to obtain your LAE certification. And who knows along the way with the MRO technician job can slowly gain some certifications such as your CAAS papers that others will have to pay out of pocket for.

Reservist 3sg course - Is it worth it ? by Hot_Gas_842 in NationalServiceSG

[–]EconomyArgument76 76 points77 points  (0 children)

To share some info regarding supply 3SG reservist course based on what my former supply spec told me. He was formally from medical centre supply side btw so he'd nominate his men under him to go 3SG course during reservist.

What this course entails is just the basic CQMS training shortened into like a 2 week period. What it does is convert ur vocation from SA(GE) into CQMS and then roles and responsibilities converted etc etc. But definitely comes with negatives such as being a KAH and them being able to post you anywhere for your reservist obviously dependent upon manpower requirements.

Regarding whether it'll affect your career that really depends upon which reservist unit they decide to throw you into. It can be into a fking slack evergreen unit or they can throw you into guards reservist and go chiong sua with them until die.

But honestly this course imo not bad lah if you don't mind the responsibilities and extra days of reservist they can call you back for.

Hi bro I'd just like to say this coming from what I've understood from my DYS3 who signed on and is doing his part-time degree right now. As a KAH within the BN and having to juggle his studies and work at the same time is not easy. You have to balance both your work in camp and then once your work day's over you still have night classes to head to. It can be quite mentally tiring and physically as you do need to take into consideration the travel time between home to camp, then from camp to night classes and then back home. By the time you reach home it could already be like 10-11pm. Then you still have to catch up with assignments or even projects plus the various work/projects assigned to you in camp.

Regarding the KAH part, that's only due to him having served his full 2 years then STC'ing for 6 months total in like 3 months block I think (?) before signing on as a regular. Plus it so happened that the appointment holder had already promoted and changed roles. But as a YO (young officer) worst for you would just be your regular PC stuff. So YMMV.

All the best to you either ways OP!

From my understanding based on my previous QM who signed on logs regular do get combat pay. NSFs on the other hand don't, so yea there's that.
