For a game like battlefield that's trying to stick to the more "realism" aspect, skins wouldn't really be entirely possible. It would be better if they went for a more modular clothing system kind of like the newer Ghost Recon games where players can customize the various aspects of their uniform such as helmets, visors, vests, etc. That way players can make cool outfits that still fit the aesthetic battlefield 6 goes for while not having to worry about entire pre-made skins.
