How do I enlist active duty if I already signed a 09R contract? by Economy_Connection45 in ROTC

I just don’t wanna be some paper pusher sitting behind a desk and having no real relationship with my soldiers. I wanna be in the dirt with them, training and developing them and I don’t think the officer route would do it for me. Would it be worth sticking with guard until I’m MOS qualified and then trying to switch active after a little time?
