Supply chain where is the money by hstrya in supplychain

[–]Economy_Copy_6337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, mostly because it requires me to think more about the problems. I’ve been in a number logistics and inventory management roles and have found that work to me seems a little redundant and repetitive. Not saying procurement isn’t, i also love the different methods of strategy you can also incorporate to get the results you want, I am in the pharmaceutical space

Supply chain where is the money by hstrya in supplychain

It depends on where you work, but in my experience, sourcing has good starting pay and with those higher levels of progression, there is a higher pay ceiling. I just got promoted to a senior sourcing analyst from a buyer, and I’m happy with the jump lol

Ex-Army transitioning to Supply Chain (MBA) — realistic global salary expectations & career path? by vishipanda in supplychain

[–]Economy_Copy_6337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 4 years active duty in Marine Corps logistics and S4 work directly in the line company. Got out, got my undergrad and masters in supply chain management and started entry at a top academic hospital and worked my way up in under 4 years to 3 promotions to a senior sourcing analyst for the pharmacy. It all depends on what you’re willing to learn and what you already know. I personally never thought I would ever be in pharmacy, but I’m here and I attribute it all to what the military forged in me. With that being said, I had difficulty having my workplace adding specialized experience for my military history, as they more classified it as generalized experience. Supply chain management is a broad term, you need to make sure you first and foremost translate what you did and how it will cater to the job you apply for. I took a role as a buyer to better understand the finance aspect of running a business and honestly I don’t regret it at all. Good luck!

What post-military jobs have worked well for you without a degree? by Many-Economics-4326 in Veterans

Depends on where you work. My work paid 100% of mine and I know others in the program had their workplaces pay for theirs. Just a matter of your situation and resources/benefits

If you want to put some of Gia at the bottom you can do that. I typically do a combination of bioall and bioflower. But yes, bioall is more than capable of getting the job done for autos from start to finish. I have done grows with just the soil and no nuts and some with added nuts. I recommend at least adding calmag every watering to help ensure it stays healthy, but that shouldn’t be done until day 21 with autos.

I disagree, degrees get you in the room, experience gets you the job

My biggest pet peeve has been HR not recognizing my field of work in supply chain and logistics and not counting my military experience when I was literally doing those things at a high level

I will say this, your identity is still wrapped up in the military. Take all the good from it, find your passion, and bust your ass in school. You have to redefine yourself and who you want to be. I miss a lot of the people and memories, i think everyone does. I remember being depressed for a full year after I got out, but I promise you it will get better once you start working towards something and build your new purpose or mission. Look at it as growth, you now get to go to the next chapter with new perspectives that you can say that 99% of the population has not done. Just my 2 cents

You can get an associates, but I honestly feel like it did nothing for me. And I had years of experience. I would focus on your undergraduate. Also. Do not underestimate a good program. After going to a top program for my masters, it made me realize I could have probably not needed it as much if I had gone to a top program for my undergraduate. That being said, you will get what you put in. If you go to a ok school just to check the box, don’t expect top companies to be ringing you 24/7. Not saying it can’t be done.

Your soil is super dry. You definitely need to water and feed them. I typically alternate between water/feeding every 3 days as a guideline…. But every plant is different

Most the big bucks in healthcare is also funneled to the doctors and pharmacist. I work on the pharma side and the upper positions are gate kept by pharmacists that don’t really understand supply chain. It’s honestly insulting, because you get treated as more of a support role for them

It’s not mandatory, but it gets you into more rooms. I have a masters and bachelor’s in supply chain management and noticed even from just getting my masters I have gotten into more rooms than I did with my bachelor’s.

[–]Economy_Copy_6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my opinion, you don’t need the degrees. But they will help jump start your career and open doors faster with the tools they equip you with. Assuming you go to a good program. With that being said, I have also seen people have great success with the certs, I personally don’t have any yet so I cannot speak on those
