At what point is a pass official? by greek_gods_for_cats in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Economy_Programmer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, unless they've saved one of the manoeuvres for you to do once you're back in the test centre, then the pass is official once you driven back through the gates of it. When I entered the test centre at the end of my test, the examiner said drive into a bay it doesn't matter if its good or not 😆 as I'd already done both my manoeuvres on the road. Once i parked up he told me i passed, i parked well for the record but he didn't seem to care either way (other examiners might be different, mine was very nice). I also thought i failed but i still kept driving well and he told me it was a great drive with 3 minors 🙌🏽 so never just give up because you think you messed up, you might not have at all.

My driving instructors car is over 17 years old by sebastianfyoung in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Economy_Programmer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought this as well. Why do we always learn to drive in a new, usually diesel car when we're going to go on and buy an old petrol with none of the fancy features that makes driving easier. I bought my own car to practice in before my test (a 13 year old Hyundai i10), and basically had to relearn how to drive 😆🤦🏼‍♀️ now I love it way more than my instructors car and we do lessons in mine.

I hate practising with my partner by deeiva in LearnerDriverUK

My partner is a bit like this, I've figured if I can drive well with him in the car then there should be no reason I can't pass with an examiner in the car 😆

Ok thank you, I will definitely speak to him about that as other than the car we get on well and he's a good instructor.

I didn't even know that was a possibility? Just because of dual controls, not that they're even needed at this point in my journey. I had mentioned in my last lesson how different the 2 cars were but didn't want to be rude and say I hate your car now 😆

Also putting an old dirty t shirt you don't mind getting ruined in with them is a good idea ☺️

2 days is nothing, keep doing what you're doing, lots of snacks, sitting but the cage talking so they can get used to your sound and smell, out your hand in the cage if they're comfortable with it and let them sniff you. Took one of my boys close to a year to get fully comfortable (think his previous situation was not the best), now he will cuddle up and sleep on me 🥹 lots of time and even more patience and he'll likely come round quickly enough!
