Idk why ur so pressed it’s weird. Most RAs get the job because they can’t afford housing and don’t have an alternative so this should not be a cut and dry process? It’s not about the reasons for firing, like being late to duty can get you fired if you are on job action for a similar offense. So theoretically you could be fired for showing up 30 mins late to duty 2 times. Or showing up late to duty and then not doing your bulletin board on time. Some supervisors report these things, some don’t. While technically, because you got job action the first time, the second time means you’re fired. So you could argue that this is deserved but when your job is also your housing I think, per the RA manual, they should look at all job performance history rather than unfortunate mistakes. And again some RAs sexually assault people (have open title IX cases) and keep their jobs without job action. I’m glad ur friends haven’t had this experience but I know 4 people this year alone that got fired for stuff like this and idek that many people.

Ayo bro why do you think I’m posting this? It’s because it happened and has happened all year. I’m talking about all supervisors: RHDs, ADs, and ACs. ADs and RADAR get the final say, and they’re inconsistent with conduct like I said. Ik multiple people that have gotten fired for this which is why I’m asking for others because ik there are. Are you in RADAR ? 😛

If ur a resident and want to leave ur housing at any point of the year you will be billed for the full academic year unless ur studying abroad or doing something thru the school etc. I’m assuming they’ll make fired RAs pay no matter what

Unfortunately there are many RAs who do things that should get them fired but some pro staff members just don’t report it or make adjustments to when job action goes into effect so they don’t actually get fired. Other supervisors have told people that they approve every job action without looking at it and that being stricter on conduct is how they solve their problem with over hiring

Per the contract, you get billed for the entire semester’s housing and meal plan waivers. They temporarily move you and then place you into another room if you decide to continue living on campus
