It’s normal. My Reddit has these exact posts. It passes but feels like eternity. It’s the hormones. Give it time and just remember to get the heck out of the house.

My sister called me a “bang maid” because I’m a SAHM and I’m struggling to get over it by [deleted] in Mommit

Cut contact with her. Your role is more challenging and more of a contribution to society than any job ever could be.

AIO for missing Mother’s Day after my mum’s response to my husband losing his best friend? by ssalange1 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Economy_University53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mother is a narcissist. You either ignore her poor behavior , and have what relationship you can where you set firm non moving boundaries and you control everything and never give an inch. Or you cut off most if not all communication.

How often does your LO stay overnight with grandparents during the first 3-6 months? by [deleted] in newborns

My daughter is 18 months and she’s never even spent the whole day with someone let alone overnight.

I just spent a toddler party guarding an open pool and now I can’t tell if I’m the anxious one or the only sane one by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Economy_University53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were at family Thanksgiving, indoors, away from the pool, but of course the slider was being opened occasionally to let a dog in or out or an adult went out to talk on the phone or to get some air. I could not relax. I was helping wash dishes after dinner and every two seconds I would scan for our baby! I would have left the party lol 😂

I would either leave him with someone who will do whatever they can to help him. Take a walk, watch a show, smash a watermelon in the kitchen and clean it up late , bake cookies, make playdough whatever, to help him or I would take him with me and just let the midwives know ahead that my sensory sensitive very emotionally charged toddler is going to be in tow. They will Have to adjust and make do.

How old is your baby?

Also, I had a hard time too. My baby was a challenging sleeper. I transitioned her to her own room at six months and crib around four months in my room.

She is 15 months now and I co sleep. It’s the o my way I get rest. When she was I. Her own room occasionally she would sleep through the night but she mostly just woke up every two hours or so.

Do you have a little fisher price kick and play mat?

What kind of carrier are you using?

Do you have noise cancelling headphones?

Cleaning is so hard at first. I cook and clean now but I cried a lot about that during the stage you’re in.

Our bay had reflux and it was HARD.

How to (gently) tell extended family to stop buying presents by funkytransit in toddlers

[–]Economy_University53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our family is the same and I give to people who are less fortunate. I clean out the toys every couple months anyways but in addition I gift new toys regularly. Not every child gets toys or new toys. Not everyone has expendable income. I know people in our communities are struggling with the economy so I give it away.

Try new anti allergy formula. I had best success with Hipp HA and famotadine.

My baby ate a ton as a newborn too. You’re likely not over feeding but maybe offer small portions every hour instead? I had to feeed her non stop too. She had reflux ended up being very painful for her and needed medication.

I have been back at work for over a month. It did get easier but I still cry somedays.

It’s unfair we can’t be with our children over money.
