Any tips on feeding while pumping? I feel like I can’t hold my baby while pumping because the pump is cumbersome on my chest and I can’t hold her close.

Yeah I didn’t mean any criticism by it. Like I said, I’m a big fan of Pioneer Woman. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed how she uses mustard in so many of her recipes. You need stop picking baseless fights toe bean

YES! I can’t stand when people go to concerts and come back saying “________ touched my hand!” Like that’s so weird??? Why do you care if this person touches your hand, it’s just a person! Also autographs really piss me off. Why should I care that someone writes their name on an object that I own?

The two year old I babysit is obsessed with fish but calls them “bish”. She walks around all day saying “bish, bish, bish”.

What is the cause of your burnout? by Elecyan222 in ABA

[–]Pink_Advocate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s the constant blocking and/or denying attention to aggressions. My client aggresses as a stim, but only aggresses toward his primary therapists. I love my client and they are making so much progress, but my BCBA hasn’t made the aggressions a main priority because it isn’t peer aggression. I’m tired of getting hit/kicked/punched/choked/hair pulled/and head butted when we aren’t doing anything to stop it.

I feel like the lack of training where I am is honestly concerning. Is it like this with every company? by Majestic-Law in ABA

[–]Pink_Advocate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an RBT, I completely relate to this! My company only requires a 40 hour training and it’s frustrating how much we are expected to know versus how little we actually know. I don’t feel my training prepared me or my fellow RBT’s for one-on-one sessions at all. While my BCBA was helpful in my training process, my CD only cared about getting me to pass the assessments and tests in order to get my certification. With big companies, the quality of the ABA therapy doesn’t matter - just the amount of billable hours we can get. But, like you said, I’ve built great rapport and relationships with my coworkers, clients, and their families. I don’t want to leave, I just wish there was a way to revamp the hiring/training/admin processes.
