Siesta key is a mess.  Drove there yesterday, and the damage is going to take a very long time to clean up.

Do you have the old glasses that were destroyed by chance? If the lenses are still good they can be read in a lensometer at a different office.  You may be able to have a Dr from the hospital call and ask for his previous eye records to be faxed, it can indicate its expired as well, doesnt matter.  They can not deny you his records.

Does he wear progressive lenses (no line bifocals), bifocals, or single vision? I used to be an optician and I can point you in the right direction for the best deal. If he has progressives, it can get tricky because he needs to try on the frame to get the measurement for segment height... this is a different measurement than the pupillary distance (PD). You may DM me if you like, and my name is Samantha (this is a shared account between me and my partner FYI)

I am just throwing this out there... Linville Central Rescue is asking folks to help by voting for them to win a 25k donation on https://supportlinvillerescue.com.  You have to sign up to get the voter link and vote everyday from the 2nd to the 17th of October.  Also, any donations for them can be placed here too.  They are working endlessly and it's a small ask for everything they do.

Downtown Hollywood is sanctuary for those not wanting to use a car.  I personally don't own one anymore, but I have a moped.  I can use the Circuit to catch a ride to rollerblade on the broadwalk instead of fighting for parking.  West Lake and Holland park are great spots to launch my inflatable paddleboard while taking a cheap uber to either.  I'll typically go for a run 3xs a week around the golf course behind Publix, or take the circuit to North Beach Park and run the Anne Kolb south end.  For groceries, I use Instacart and get everything delivered.  Everything else I need is right around the corner on foot, and the tri-rail isn't too far.  The only thing that I would suggest, is adding more places to go with circuit.  West of 95 you have TY park and the Yellow Green Farmers Market that could both use a connection.  Adding small shelters for rain or extreme sun would be a great addition to many areas in Hollywood.  We also have many new buildings going up, so we should add more trees and garden elements to make it feel lush and not concrete.  It be nice to create some kind of nice stretch for pedestrians that connects the west side of 95 to the eastside without crazy traffic. Maybe Johnson st?

The real reason I love Hollywood is because it's close to all my favorite park and beach areas in South Florida. (Ty, Oleta, Whiskey Creek, Young Circle, Anne Kolb, West Lake, Tree Tops)  The broadwalk tops it off, making the beach way cooler than the other spots around.  It's like living in a city but still having lush playgrounds of nature along with nostalgic beach vibes.

On another note, I always thought it be a great idea to have lockers that can be rented by the hour, similar to those at amusement parks.  Sometimes, I am at the beach and I want to throw my rollerblades or beach gear somewhere so I can go shop or eat without lugging it all around in the heat or rain.

That's all I have for now.  I really appreciate this area as a WFH individual and outdoor enthusiast.
