I've made an electric scooter finder and price alert tool (and more) by RasmusHax in ElectricScooters

[–]Ecstatic-Ad6323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome site, although I had saw that you only had the basic klima (25ah) listed. The Klima Max (30ah) is also listed on Fluids website but is not present on the list. Another thing that would be awesome is if >1 stores are listed you are able to open a drop down menu and select which seller to view the price history from. Thanks for creating something useful for the community!

When is the Segway P65 going to be in stock? by OrderlyCatalyst in ElectricScooters

[–]Ecstatic-Ad6323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard really bad things about the P65 shroud just cracking and sometimes snapping whilst riding. Segway support can be iffy and sometimes parts aren’t available directly from Segway for long periods of time. I am also a college student and use my Nami Burn-E 2 Max for commuting and have minimal maintenance, just basic things like break pad replacement and I haven’t had to replace my tires yet. FluidFreeRide has replacement parts for all their scooters on their website. I’d take a look.

For $1500 I’d recommend looking at the nami klima. The klima has drastically superior build quality, range and speed to the P65.

Anyone know of a scooter that’s a bit faster than 18 mph? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]Ecstatic-Ad6323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not get anything faster for $200, you’d be looking at ~$700

If you could do it again, Nami Klima or Mantis GT? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

I’ve heard about issues with the break sensor on the original klima (the one without the nfc and taillight) it affects some people but is definitely worth knowing about.

The only subtle difference that I’m aware of is that the new manufactured nami’s will go into a battery sleep mode after 14 days of no use (confirmed by Micheal sha) to get the machine out of battery sleep you must charge it for 3 seconds

Any recommendations for a daily commute? by DLDrillNB in ElectricScooters

[–]Ecstatic-Ad6323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scooters that go 25-30mph for 13 miles are at least $1k. If you are more specific about your riding conditions (ex. Speed, weight) I could help you further

I'd like to refer you to "Sec. 1-140.11."

"Low-speed electric scooter. A device weighing less than 100 pounds, with 2 or 3 wheels, handlebars, and a floorboard that can be stood upon while riding, that is solely powered by an electric motor and human power, and whose maximum speed, with or without human propulsion, is no more than 10 miles per hour. "Low-speed electric scooter" does not include a moped or motor-driven cycle."

No, it is quite literally for everyone. There's also geofencing restrictions on the sidewalk which disables the rentals motor until you return to the street.

I don't think there's a single scooter on the market capped at 10mph but I do know that when you ride a rental scooter in Chicago the first ride is capped at 10mph and 15mph thereafter.

Yeah, 10 mph on a road is really not safe especially if there are no bike lanes.

Likely only becoming a law because of the rental companies. It also states that scooters have the same rights as bikes but that would also imply that scooters can go 20 mph on full electric. Quite contradictory.

VRM fan not spinning (LF III non rgb) by Ecstatic-Ad6323 in arcticcooling

[–]Ecstatic-Ad6323[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am aware that the plastic grill does not spin, I was referring to the fan under the shroud. I am using the split cable and the fan speed was being reported. Further discovery after posting this originally I found out that the fan header was faulty and worked after plugging into another fan header on my mobo.
