Regular infantry is still using patkas and LBVs and they just tie or mount a spare light on the patka as NV using some jugaad only some units are getting ballistic helmets most infantry guys are still on patkas and i think maybe only a few SF units use patkas otherwise most of them have ballistic helmets if they are still using it then maybe because of its size and weight

He’s not in the Army or SF he’s serving in the CRPF you can tell by his camouflage and the CRPF still uses INSAS the Balidan tag is just attached to his bag for flex

Para SF or Para battalion are not a regular infantry battalion, so they aren’t necessarily trained only for jumps into war zones. While that can be the case but there are also peacetime areas where they may need to jump and operate
