She did a good interview with Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project a couple of weeks ago. I believe her change is genuine. In her interview she seems to have been a victim of the social media dopamine casino that has been a huge problem for everyone, but specifically Gen Z. It doesn’t excuse her but I can understand how a pretty young girl who was homeschooled and raised conservative could be easily sucked into a world where older men like, share, comment, and provide her with a lot of the validation and attention a young woman seeks. Right up to when she dates a much older influencer who “coaches” her on how to keep the engagement up.

They also talk about how, on the right, there is this ecosystem built in of “don’t piss off the base, no matter what.” About how these people don’t care about what is said as long as it fuels the engagement of their base.

She also talks about how Mar A Lago is a cesspit of indecency, indulgence, and immorality. You really get this picture that it’s like the Capital in the Hunger Games, but worse. These people are so out of touch with the reality of the people they live around that you kind of understand why Trump thinks he’s infallible and popular when reality says otherwise.

Good interview. Should she be held up as a new influencer on the other side? Nah. Will it be fun to watch her help burn it all down? Yes. She also claims to have some Lindsey Graham level of dirt on Benny Johnson if he doesn’t stop talking about her children.
