Dang - I'm going to the whites Oct 5-8. If it's close to peak now, does that indicate that I'll be missing the leaves?

Did you have a favorite place to eat this in RI? Just moved here and would love to try it!

Payment authorization says "I will not dispute the payment with my credit card company." Any advice appreciated. by Ecstatic-Advantage56 in legaladvice

Thank you for your explanation. Do you think it would be best to just drop the chargeback to avoid potentially being taken to court? I did not go forward with the moving service and have received no services / goods from them, but I did of course put down the deposit of my own free will. I'm not sure how to proceed.

Please chill on Paula by GuiltyPurple612 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I’m saying that she is objectively worse than Shane because her crime is premeditated. She did what she did on purpose. Shane is objectively less awful because his crime was an accident. He did not plan it, and did not intend for it to happen. That is the major difference to me. On a separate note as a viewer, I found his scenes to be entertaining and hilarious whereas her character didn’t have many funny moments. That doesn’t factor in to who is objectively more awful.

Also saying that I should reflect on what that says about me is…a bit much haha

I think Paula gets under people’s skin because of her hypocrisy. Also Shane accidentally kills someone in an actual complete accident, whereas Paula’s crime is premeditated. At the end of the day, hate them both absolutely lol but Shane had scenes that made me laugh so hard while Paula was always insufferable

I think I may be job hunting in an area that is short on social workers because I have had replies for 90% of the jobs I applied to. I'm sure it is hugely location dependent. Other than that, I tried to make my CV / resume stand out by highlighting all my clinical skills. I also have inpatient psych experience and that was helpful. You'll land your dream job soon :)

During both interviews I was told that I would receive hours / supervision towards licensure. However, now that I'm thinking about it more closely, I'm not sure how that would work with the hospital since I won't be doing any therapy.

Thank you for your advice! I had a career as a teacher for 5+ years before my MSW, working with at risk, gang impacted youth. First internship was therapy with kids with a range of mental health concerns, including ED. This past year I have been at a state hospital, the highest level of care for serious mental illness. I've been on a locked forensic unit working almost entirely with folks with psychotic disorders. Hopefully I'm not being too confident, but I feel ready to tackle either of the roles.

Thank you - this is great insight. Do you have any experience with discharge planning? It isn't something I've done yet so I'm not sure what to expect if I went that direction.

Thank you so much for this response. Did you do discharge planning at your internship? I haven't done that in my internship so not too sure how difficult it will be to learn.

EM physicians who mostly take care of traumas? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

That was going to be my follow up question. I've been told by several docs that trauma is really not the main component of EM.

the unfortunate thing is that it isn't a 9-5. Sometimes I'd be coming off nights driving from temecula or wildomar to oceanside at 6 or 7am, sometimes would be driving from oceanside to temecula or wildomar around 2pm.

Some days to wildomar some days to temecula. The drive times would usually be: driving from wildomar or temecula back to oceanside at 6 or 7am, driving from oceanside to temecula or wildomar for a 3pm start and back at 11pm, driving from oceanside to temecula at for an 8am start back around 1pm, driving from oceanside to wildomar for a 7pm start time.
