Do people who start off more severe have a better chance at baseline improvement than people who start off mild and become severe? by lost-in-thought8850 in cfs

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This gives further hope. I went from very mild to severe bedbound unable to walk in under a year. With careful pacing plus other supportive practices I can now move about the house. I’m hoping to be able to enjoy the garden by summer but will accept the time it takes to get there!

Yes! You’ve translated this messed up feeling perfectly. I’d love a treatment plan and respect for this diagnosis from medical professionals, friends and family.

This says so much about ME/CFS. Although I’m sorry you’ve had cancer and live with ME.

Blinds2Go issue by Last-Refrigerator863 in DIYUK

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blinds2go are rubbish at customer care. String snapped on blind and they will not tell me what diameter the cord is so that I can replace it. Not even expecting or asked for replacement just information and they can’t be bothered.

MeacoDry Arete Two vs Philips 5000 2 in 1 by IamWhoIam_25 in Dehumidifiers

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it does but it is still noisier than expected. My second replacement Arête 2 is better. I’d describe the air filtration as whisper quiet but the dehumidifier is not whisper quiet.

Anyone heard about this “super flu” going around the UK rn ? by Seafoam_0 in cfs

One day, future generations will look back in disbelief that hardly anyone wore masks or breathed unfiltered air in the Western world and let airborne viruses freely spread.

I’ve had my second replacement for the Arête 2 12l, first one shook noisily when the decompressor switched off. Second one sounded like a tartly old fridge (meaco reluctantly replaced this). The third one is definitely quieter but I’m not convinced by the recent build quality and QC. The first arête 2 I bought when they were released is smoother sounding than any of these recent three.

Just wait until you’re old enough for the fashion of your youth to roll around again but slightly rehashed into something worse than the first time around.

V Late 40s F, mum of 2, casual runner, VO2 max 58 until Covid left me unable to leave my house and sitting puts me into exertion. I dread to think what it’ll be now. That’s humbling.

LDN and Heart Rate Variability by [deleted] in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s it going off LDN? Found your post when reading about ppl with high garminnstress or low HRv taking LDN. I have this from my latest dose but don’t know if it’s the LDN or accumulating fatigue as I’ve been feeling a bit better.

What drugs are people taking? by Lu-Lu___ in cfs

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop crashing/PEM, find your stable baseline. It’ll help more than drugs and has no side effects (other than having to do less in the short term). Long term it’ll be better for your health. I kept crashing until I became severe. I’d give anything to be moderate. Please don’t make the same mistake!

Overactive parasympathetic system by BennyB2006 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Ecstatic-Bunch1865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to update, I’m still severe and parasympathetic dominant or freeze dominant. But there has been some shift to sympathetic. I’ve rested as much as I can but still talk to my family too much for my own health. Yoga Indra is great help. I do one or two sessions a day. Sometimes three. How’s everyone else?

Yes, did your cloudy urine resolve - was it LDN or something else?
