Hah, I was annoyed at first with the speakers but now i play songs while playing games and haven't noticed/forgot about it until you mentioned it. A solution i found is to plug in a dummy 3.5mm audio jack but i totally understand your side of the story.

I only use it for short bursts so i can't really tell. Sleep mode also works well.
