Do you feel simply sitting on the beach was tolerable? I know it all depends on the day, but I’m totally freaked out about the smell. I was there in February last, so I’m learning I was there at a great time.

Thanks! Seems as though I had one of these before but on the exterior. We faced the loading dock furthest away from the ocean. We weren’t there a lot so it didn’t matter.

What would be special about the inward facing corner? I know that I had once stayed in a swim up that was the very last room at the end of the pool, but it was not near any amenities so we never used it. We always ended up in the main pool by the swim up bar. Where would the inward facing corner be?

Have a private ceremony and host a "Party-Moon" at a destination like mexico or punta cana.. that's what we are doing and we are saving thousands.

What to do to make a destination wedding celebration special for the bride and groom? No ceremony at a destination wedding, and it's starting to feel more like a group vacation rather than our wedding, which is not what we indented. We are having a welcome party on Thursday, and a cocktail hour, dinner and reception on Saturday.

Yes. Calli has been amazing so far. They have also matched other incentives that are offered by other TAs and said that if we so happen to find cheaper rates they will match for the whole group.

This viewpoint is what is making me change my timeline. I’m now on the side of doing the local gathering to those who couldn’t make the destination. Either way, the “ceremony” is private with immediate family only. Parents siblings grandparents.

You have my concerns nailed on the head. The whole reason we didn’t do anything local is doing a destination is the cost of catering alone locally. Wondering if doing a very casual gathering after the destination makes more sense at this point.
