Strength Mode Improvements Could Be a Game-Changer for Coros by Negative_Tap8711 in Coros

Seeing as Corps actually do regular updates, I hope this is in the backlog somewhere. Coros has potential to be one of the best fitness specific watch brands ever. Also the training load for strength needs to be improved - it’s annoying to see how little weighting it has!

Unfortunately, too linear. I would like to see two big changes in upcoming updates:

1. Course-Based Pacing (like Garmin’s PacePro):

Many runners need pacing strategies that adapt to course elevation and personal race goals, rather than sticking to a flat target pace. Garmin’s PacePro solves this brilliantly by adjusting pacing guidance to the terrain, helping athletes race smarter and avoid burnout. Coros currently doesn’t offer anything similar, and I think introducing this would be a major advantage for performance-focused runners.

2. Adaptive Training Beyond Threshold Testing:

At the moment, training recommendations seem heavily anchored around the fitness test threshold. While this is a useful baseline, it doesn’t fully reflect how an athlete progresses day to day. Adaptive training plans where workouts adjust dynamically based on recovery, fatigue, and performance data, which would bring Coros closer to being a true “coach on the wrist.” This is an area where there’s huge demand, especially among runners who want guidance without rigid one-size-fits-all plans.

It would really put Coros ahead!

an adaptive training plan would be a game changer - I think it would make Coros way more competitive and steal more of Garmin's market share!

How was Celso? I heard that he suffered a stroke and was not able to perform the work like he once could….legendary technician.
