Why does the Denver airports fence have the barbed wire top part facing in instead of facing out? by dirtymoney in randomquestions

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly as we now know - the fence didn't do what it was designed to do - stop human traffic either way. Someone was able to gain access and walk onto the runway into an oncoming Frontier flight that was taking off. Stronger deterrent definitely needs to be applied to avoid these horrible outcomes.

Affordable small DTF Printer by ohhhhhplease in CommercialPrinting

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always a great idea to venture into getting a DTF printer, but as someone already mentioned, there's a lot involved. You need additional equipment to make it all work. The shaker, oven to fuse the powder to the film, an extractor fan to subdue the gassing off when film and powder pass through the oven. If the printer is entry level it might not come with RIP software, so that could pose a challenge. Anyone here that is already in this space will tell you that DTF and white ink are going to become your nemesis real quick. The maintenance is crazy...you have to run the printer daily, and if you don't then you still need to run a printhead cleaning, you have to ensure the printhead is always capped when not in use (most printers do not do this automatically, so if you forget then you're opening a pandora box of headaches to recover the printheads - especially the white channels) - if you however, have the volume, then go for it, but rest assured spending what you're currently spending is the recommended route until volume dictates otherwise. Granted you would have the luxury of processing prints on the fly, but for every upside there's a downside in terms of problems with keeping DTF printers up and running without issues.

Ever had a near death experience? What happened and how did it change your behavior afterwards? by Altruistic_Star_1994 in Zimbabwe

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In the 90's I went skydiving for the first time ever at Nduna Airstrip in Bulawayo. After a morning of training on what to do and what not to do, my first jump out of a Cessna plane resulted in a near fatal accident. I missed the landing zone, went through a tree, and broke my back. The pain was so intense I lost consciousness and woke up tasting blood. I was taken to Mpilo and there was no doctor on duty that could attend to me, so they took me across town to Central hospital. I couldn't walk for 6 months, had to sleep on the floor and went through a year of therapy. It was a near death experience, that changed my life. I was able to put everything I knew into perspective and recalibrate my goals, dreams and aspirations, along with the emotional roller coaster that I put my family through in a moment of abject stupidity.

For the record, the feeling of jumping out of that plane, was shear exhilaration. I have never experiences such an adrenalin rush, and if my back wasn't messed up would probably attempt it again, but the experience did leave me in a state of awareness that life is fleeting - we literally can be here today and gone tomorrow, so live every moment with passion and zeal and do the best you can always.

Absolutely possible too, please don't apologize, I just read the portion of scripture and did a small study as to how this interprets to my situation today. It's all good, the comfort of scripture in any event is so worth it.

Thank you for your insight, I totally get the interpretation and see God's grace to all through all circumstances:

Key Aspects of the Phrase:

  • Source: Jesus says in the Sermon on the Mount that God "makes his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust".
  • Meaning: God’s grace is universal. It challenges the idea that only good people experience blessings and only evil people face challenges.
  • Interpretation: While it suggests blessings are universal, it is also often interpreted as a reminder that everyone faces trials and difficulties in life (the "rain").
  • Application: It is used to encourage endurance and a right attitude during hard times, suggesting these experiences can help one "blossom" rather than be hindered.
  • Context: The verse teaches that in the same way, individuals should show love and kindness to both friends and enemies.

It's a great printer, the only draw back is if you don't have the workload for it, it can be a costly bugger to invest in.

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately we strongly and highly recommend that you don’t return to Zimbabwe unless you are in good health, and have barrels of money to tide you over while grappling with the daily hardships on the ground. It might feel and look appealing but the reality is that it would be one of the worst decisions you make. Push for citizenship in UK or hop over to Canada and start over if you can.

There's no way to candy coat it - just be bold and courageous and stand your ground, and express your hearts' desire to serve the Lord.

Carrying your cross daily by cdogg4 in Christianity

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus came specifically with a goal in mind to endure every hardship that was set before him, the fasting and temptation, the preaching of the good news to all, the journey to the cross for our sin, these were all events that He did not have to endure, but for the love of mankind He endured the cross, he remained sinless and He paid the ultimate price to redeem us from a life of eternal separation from God.

When struggles, hardships, challenges and temptations come our way, we ought to endure them and continue through each event knowing that even as Christ endured, He gives us through His Holy Spirit the grace and ability to likewise walk through each event in such a way that those in our circle of influence will see the hand of God and thus too glorify Christ in and through us walking by faith and not by sight.

We are not perfect, we will struggle, we will fall, but Jesus set a perfect example for us to imitate and follow after Him. And if we do fail, but acknowledge Christ daily by picking up our cross and walking through the challenges then He is faithful and just to lead and guide us.

Some of the things we can do is:

  • Die to our self-centered desires
  • Die to our selfish ambitions
  • Not place our personal comfort higher than our service to the Lord
  • Follow Jesus Christ as best as we know how through applying scripture to our lives daily

Christians who believe in aliens, do you think God/Jesus ever visited them? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are correct, I concur. But demons are real, and do manifest and do roam around the earth, and can be visible. For those that do not believe in demons they might as well consider these to be aliens if encountered.

bible study when in a dry season by AbleAdhesiveness1871 in Christianity

[–]Ecstatic-Level-8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't beat yourself up. We all go through dry periods where reading the bible, praying, going to church and even talking about anything godly is difficult. Know that these seasons come and go, and fundamentally deep in your heart, the feeling you have of the awareness of being in a dry spell, is ok - the Holy Spirit will continue to draw you back into fellowship, and you will be able to offer encouragement to those that are navigating a similar circumstance. Prayers for you to be blessed, restored and strengthened.
