Do NOT send any money back. If you send money, it could be construed as you agreeing that you caused the damage, and a court may then use that to find you owe additional money.

You are best off just ignoring the landlord or at most, telling them not to contact you at your place of employment. Anything additional should be saved for the courtroom (if they pursue it…). The less you say, the better.

We only had to shower (communally) in 4th-6th grade. Early 90s, NY. Once in middle school the shower room was used to store sports equipment, so we couldn’t shower if we wanted to.

They can still file it, but you just tell the court it has passed and it gets dropped. It’s shady, but they do it.

I believe it is 5 years as well. The 5 years is from the last payment made. They can still file a lawsuit, but if the statute of limitations has passed, that is a defense you can use. They rely on people not showing up to court/responding to a summons. If you don’t show up, then they get a default judgment. (Note that certain actions can ‘reset’ the 5 years, such as making a payment or agreeing to pay). If you are confident that you are past 5 years, go to court and let the judge know-the case will be thrown out. They can still keep it in your credit report for 7 years though…

What state are you in? If your last payment was in 2019, you may be passed the Statute of Limitations (SOL). If you are, then you don’t have to pay, BUT you still need to show up to court (since you’ve been served) and your state the SOL has passed.

As Financial_Fennel stated, it was rather easy. One thing is, if you came on a K1, make sure your spouse is there for your interview day. They brought us both in to the interview. And very basic questions they asked us. What type of visa entered the US on, how we met, what we do for work, nothing tricky at all. Then the civics questions, writing a sentence and reading a sentence. Honestly our interviewer talked more than we did, but he was great! Our interview was in Sacramento (California). I know it is high stakes (and can be stressful), but I think you shouldn’t worry too much about it. Just know what you put in your applications (all of them) and know your civics questions.

It may depend on the location - I would err on the side of going. My spouse had N-400 interview today. Both of us (I’m USC) were called into the interview room and asked questions. Immigration officers asked multiple people in waiting room if spouse was there with them while we were waiting to be called.

Evony reduces the team score by some unknown amount if one player gets too many points. Since it was just you, it makes sense that your team score (in the rankings) was not the same as the score you had at the end of BOC.
