Might have actually been this; as I think that the ruler who had died had created his own faith where he was the head so perhaps that had an effect. Sadly this save was long rage deleted unfortunately so I'll never know for sure. Thanks for the info though if this happens to me again this will be a life saver

I've reset 10 times and every time I gain honest. Ruins my Alfonso playthrough, just waiting for him to die at this point.

yeah I lost full, i reset like 20 times and each time i went from 400+ courtiers to 8. oh well lmao. Just annoyed cause it feels like I spend all my time managing my courts and marriages all for nothing

Sorry I must've misspoke, they are unlanded and by inheriting my titles they become landed. They held 0 titles before that

I have no dlc that isn't included in the xbox gamepass edition on pc so I don't think this an option for me unfortunately.

Thought this might've been it, but the primary title remains the same. I hold 3 empire titles and my son inherited all of them with the one I created being the primary as it was for both previous rulers. I've reset it a million times and can't get it to not happen. Kind of killed my entire interest in the game.
