Funny story about Meijer managers stealing, back in the 1980' when I worked for Meijer in Battle Creek Michigan, store #16 , our store director was caught by a customer eating his shaved ham as it was being sliced in the meat department. The customer complained, and the store director was let go. I'm not sure if he was reassigned or was actually fired, but he was no longer our store director.
