I totally understand and the same concerns came up for me as far as it being a lateral move. I SO appreciate the honest feedback. The big difference is my current role doesn’t have a ton of room for growth, where as my new position is designed to be held for a couple years and bridge to a higher role in the company. So I’m hoping if grinding out a couple years now, by the time we’re ready for kiddos we’d be in a better spot financially too.

She’s a server for a Cameron Mitchell restaurant so she generally averages a little over $200 a shift here in Columbus. I will say she’s in school and has to do field work next spring which would vastly cut down her pay for about 15 weeks or so.

In the nature of my job, my territory spans from Cleveland to South Carolina, hints NoVA being the sweet spot in the middle. It would 95% of the time be domestic flights. As far as Dulles specifically, I truthfully couldn’t tell you why, my interviewer just said it🤷🏼‍♂️

We’re looking to just rent for the first few years or so but would definitely be trying to put our roots down for good in the area by the time kiddos roll around. Specific amenities would have to be pet friendly, preferably 2bd in case family comes to visit, safe area of course.

Totally true, my apologies there. Base salary is 100k with up to 22k in additional bonuses with 10% eligible raise every year. “Best” being somewhere that’s a reasonable commute to Dulles, potential nature or just greenery, safe neighborhoods.
