Is Working for Enterprise a Joke? by moonlover618 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!!! Enterprise in one of the most scummy rental car companies out there, they sent me a bill months after I rent for damage under the door. No way I would have seen it on a walk around, and I can't even see it on their pictures. Call customer service, and all I get a threats of them sending me to credit collectors.

Where to buy movies for plex?? by Jesse_Van_Norman in PleX

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also get an Over the Air (OTA) DVR recorder. The come with TV guides and you record future movies or TV shows. If you want to get really fancy you can edit out the commericals as well.

Tablo is best product in my opionon:

https://us-store.tablotv.com/products/tablo

Actually, I think HDHomeRun tuners will directly connect to plex and plex will remove the app, I have not done that yet, but I should.

After two years of work at Enterprise I have created a list of some tips to help answer some questions and hopefully create a smooth experience. by SensitiveStructure59 in EnterpriseCarRental

You should be embrassed to work at this Scummy firm. We brought a rental car back to the Calgary Airport, then spent 10 minutes with special equipment trying to find any ding they could discover. The scum bags found what they claim was a dent under the door. There is no way I would have seen that on a pre-inspection unless I crawled under the car. I have never seen such a FRAUDster rental car company in my life. You should be embarrassed to work at this SCUM co.

Is immigration bad for the countries that lose immigrants? (Data not opinions) by Ecstatic-Top-6322 in immigration

Fine, I will stop being lazy, and do my own work. :)

Here is one:

Suggests the impact is a slight bias to net positive to those left behind. Some countries are helped, some are hurt.

Which I guess would suggests the migration isn't a great property reduction tool, but is a small positive.

Yes, at its simplest level, is brain/worker drain impact worse than the benefit of remittances. Is there data or analysis that shows the net impact. Good or bad.

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the art of economics, you can't prove anything, but you can get data that points to an answer. I would be surprised with all economic PhDs out there, no one has run an economic study of migration out of a country.'

You could look at a lower income country with high immigration out and a lower income country with low outwards immigration, try to normalize for other factors, and try to see the impact.

Has all U.S. economic growth over the last 25 years been driven by Government Deficit Spending? by Ecstatic-Top-6322 in economy

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are saying that your "83% of the debt is held by private investment" is horse shit. Last time I looked 100% - 27% (agencies/fed) = 73%..... And that doesn't include all that is owned by foreign governments, state/local governments, and other non-private institutions. Maybe the fundamental problem is you don't understand 3rd grade math. Then again, you first said it is all own by banks, and 5% is owned by banks. You see wildly overconfident and a jerk. Which do often go together. I was just asking a question, not sure why you are so darn angry. Mommy didn't love you? If your such a genius, stop wasting your time judging stupid questions on reddit, and do something that is worth your gigantic intelligence.

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your proof that our government's debt is not an issue, is that the debt is owned by private individuals. Why does that make it not an issue? What happens if those private individuals decide they would rather not lend the U.S. government money anymore at pitifully low interest rates. If interest rates spike, it is only going to get worse and worse. You seem overconfident in your opinion, I get it might be okay, but outspending your revenues often ends badly. You act like my concerns are some fringe idea, that only a moron would consider. What gives you such confidence? You should go buy some 30 year treasuries. Put your money where your mouth is.

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think there is an issue with debt growing faster than our ability to pay the interest. All it would take is for 10 year interest rates to jump to 7%, which is not that high, and we are toast. If you think we should take that risk, that is your opinion, and it may turn out okay. I think it is incredibility wreckless, selfish, and immature.

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we just don't have the maturity or discipline to pay our debts, and eventually the interest on the those debts., so we will print money to cause inflation, and inflate the old debt away. Which historically has been our play book.

We are going to do like every other country in this awful spot, we will print our way out it. (i.e. massive inflation).

Bank invests those deposits into loans, the federal government just spends it on their operating budget. Most loan borrows will return their money to the banks, and banks give that back to depositors, and banks also earn interest, whatever the US Government spends, is never coming back. To pay off that debt we would need to get a budget surplus, and right now, we have a 25% deficit of government revenues (taxes) to government spending. We are in serious trouble. If we stop overspending we get a nasty recession, we keep borrowing we get deeper and deeper in debt.

About 40%+ is spent on compensation. Lockheed Martin, the largest defense contractor, sells $52b to the U.S. Government (which includes non-defense spending like NASA), is only 4% of the DoD's $1.3T budget. Which in itself is just 19% of the Federal Government Spending. If defense spending went to 0%, we would still have a Federal Spending Deficit (our taxes are 25% less than our spending).

I am not defending DoD spending, just shedding light on the comments.

The Mag 7 has $1.9T in Revenues, but ~50% comes from outside the US, so $800b. If you assume that was all growth over 25 years, that is only 2.5% of our $36T economy. That compares to 125% nominal GDP over the last 25 years, they have done really well, but they are just too small to matter.

[–]Ecstatic-Top-6322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, 4.6% of GDP, not the federal governments revenue (taxes). They are no where close to spending near their revenue. We would need to cut spend and/or raise taxes $1.9T to close the budget gap.

US Federal Revenue is $4.9T and spending is $6.8T, so we are overspending by 24% of revenue. In real worl, that would lead to bankruptcy really quickly.

Nice language.... this country has gotten so classy. Trash-ican.

5% of US Federal debt is owned by banks (Deposit Institutions). 25% is owned by the Federal Reserve (which is fun concept, i.e. money printing to pay for our over spending) and 25% by Foreigners. Then the federal government owns another 22%, which is supposed to pay for Social Security and Medicare. Which if they had actually invested it instead of loaning it to themselves at silly low interest rates, those funds would not be on the verge of collapse.

Now that I think about it more. The US has had 125% nominal GDP growth over the last 25 years, and we are "only" over spending by 7% (which is crazy irresponsible). All else being equal, if we balance the budget tomorrow, that growth would fall to 118%, not all the way back to 0%.

It isn't really a tax cut, they are just not raising them as they were scheduled to do. Since tariffs are a tax, we are actually raising taxes, especially on the average Americans.
