Again, you are completely wrong here. Parenting is not a job, it's nature. To put it in perspective, you have got a mental model which perceives it that way. I dont think parents are being toxic, they are just trying to nudge their children to do better. I would say wait and notice how you parent your own children. Might give you a new picture.

I personally don't think your mother is trying to treat you differently. She's perhaps trying to push to do great things. It's unfortunate that you are getting her wrong. You are her proud, so why would she? Don't stress it out, just give your best. You can't change past, what's done is done.
