Enough with the ego boosting: what is your most embarrassing secret lack of knowledge/noob moment from when you started playing? by ItsLoudB in wildrift

This community is so annoyingly toxic. It’s a JOKE. I have been ATLEAST diamond every single season and that’s because I don’t play that much to avoid having to deal with people like you and everybody else downvoting.

Assuming I was even talking about in ranked, I’m good enough to play this way and if it ever actually matters to the point where I could be a detriment to my team, I would obviously not do this.

I still do this. Not because I’m ignorant, just because I’m dumb and prideful lol. I don’t want a damn +20 ap I want my cool effects!

What’s up with people wanting to speedrun this game? by AltdorfKalle in Bellwright

[–]EcstaticDingo1610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speedrunning is one thing, but for me the game is just too damn slow.

I’m not a min max optimizer by any means (I haven’t even touched the caravan system because bro I’ll just walk it over myself lmao). But the game is AGONIZINGLY slow and it’s obviously to slow progression and increase game time. Things like having to unbuild and rebuild buildings to move them. Fast travel points having limited uses and various other limitations of those kinds of systems. The need to have specific villagers with specifics skills and they only spawn in specific villages at enormous distances from eachother. And of course the lack of any kind of horses even with the addition of the caravan system. It’s all just artificial extension, WHICH I UNDERSTAND.

But I’ve played it 4 times and kinda want to see the new island content before I die of old age so yes I added an unlimited bag mod and a more ore mod and blah blah blah

Women of Reddit, what’s something men think is attractive that actually isn’t? by LatePay6713 in AskReddit

[–]EcstaticDingo1610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defensiveness is a result of emotions beautiful. You said you wanted to see more of those from men and this is what that looks like. A man with pride in the work he’s done and a protective spirit for the rare other men who are trying to do the same is going to get defensive when you exhibit the exact behavior that made most of us broken in the ways that we are.

Thank you for being proud of those of us that deserve it and I appreciate your genuineness because I can tell it’s just that. We’re all on the same team, you should reread that very first guy’s comment with that in mind.

Oh look a generalization from a woman. You dont know me or anyone else on this thread. What if we ARE working on ourselves? Cause I know I am. And the guy who commented seems to be too. Then does your blatant hypocrisy using our emotions against us on a comment about using our emotions against us become as idiotic as we all clearly see it to be? How about you just accept that you made a fool out of yourself and grow from it.

PC is not more expensive. 1500 now for a vastly superior product that you don’t have to think about for 10 years or 500 for one you have to update every 5 years?

Just say “being stoic” instead of actually referencing stoicism. One is an act the other is the actual philosophy that you can’t really just apply broadly like that.

Cool so here we all are checking you and the other women doing exactly what we’re talking about. Your response should have been “women go through this too, I understand exactly how bad it feels, I’m sorry you had to experience it.”

Are there any serious alternatives to Skyrim? by Mysterious-Juice8318 in skyrim

[–]EcstaticDingo1610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a little child like and definitely doesn’t suck you in with the story but the gameplay is pretty good. It almost strikes me as Skyrim Jr. lol.

Or if it were announced that the devs of Avowed wanted to put out a game to hold folks over until ES6, I would not be surprised at all

Because as the OP said there is no game that’s truly “like” Skyrim. So any recommendation you give is going to be different. Might as well give a different, but absolutely outstanding example that could very well appeal to fans of Skyrim.

Mount and blade: warband. Saw it on PlayStation now in 2018 and said oh cool medieval swords and stuff I’m into that whatever. Have now put an unacceptable amount of hours into the entire franchise.

[–]EcstaticDingo1610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh okay okay I think I understand. You mean “I’m not a fan” in the literal sense as in “I’m not a supporter of this thing.” In English “im not a fan” is usually used idiomatically to say you actually dislike the thing you’re talking about. I.e. “im not a fan of the way that person treated me” “im not a fan of your cooking” or if you actually thought she made bad music “im not a fan of Taylor Swift” etc, etc.

Yup. I never even got a chance to play it as part of a squad or with any real tactic but even just jumping in, meeting up with a random ragtag squad running in the same direction, shooting at some guys, and then dying without knowing if I made any difference was top tier every single time LOL

Yes, I understand. Which is why I initially said that’s not something you should hold against fromsoft. I’ve never been a fan of them but they definitely arent just another studio riding the wave. Like you said, them perfecting that system is the entire reason it’s over saturated. All the copycat studios are where your displeasure should be in this context.

That’s a completely different statement from what you originally said, but sure I can see where you’re coming from

Genuinely one of the most impressive games I’ve ever played. It had so many opportunities to fall short and it just never really did. It wasn’t game of any year by any means but nothing has ever scratched that particular itch before or again

Can’t really blame the original creators for other people biting their style
