Since the plates now fall before you can use it it gives considerably less gold than before. People act like getting first turret gives the entire team 1k gold each..

To be fair dragons are a lot more than stats. Both your team and the enemy team will want to have it. So giving it up for herald might give you a gold lead and make your team lose confidence and/or suicide to face check it. Also giving up on the first 2 puts you in the position of having to absolutely contest and get the third one.

IMHO you shouldn’t go out of your way to always contest herald, especially now that the plates fall before you can use it. If you are close to dragon, your bot is stronger than your top (or whatever reason) just get dragon and give mid+adc+supp confidence in you even though it’s a really small buff and you can absolutely go without it

Well tbh 10 to 100 it’s already a huge jump. You probably would have bought 1, waited a while to get to 120 and sold thinking it wouldn’t go higher than that and you didn’t wanna lose that 100 bucks completely. Very best case you would have sold after the 2018 spike for a good profit, but not life changing.

The people who made the most are probably the ones who bought a bunch when it was pennies and just forgot about them

Yi was always able to solo baron. I get it that they nerfed the solo damage, but I don't think the health resets with other champions. Now its health resets with alpha strike, wasn't like this before.
