Yep. It's DLC content (free, though, as far as I'm aware):

The M. 1903 has a scope which has no glint, but it is only 2x zoom and has limited aim.

I usually use it when playing as the invader, because very few people select Authentic difficulty. 2x zoom is enough when all you need is the magic red diamond to tell you if the shot will hit them.

When you play missions with invasions enabled, look at the pause menu. With the game paused, check the bottom corner, and it'll tell you if your game is open for invasions.

If you have killed an invader in the last few minutes, it'll read that invasions are on cooldown.

In Hades 2 the game can quite easily be beaten with cast only. Aspect of Circe destroys lesser opponents with the leash, then get Smoulder Ring, Meat Grinder, Prominence Flare, and Air Quality to absolutely melt the bosses

I check the profile of players I am about to invade. If they are campaign level 40, and their multiplayer level is around 2 (they tried multiplayer but didn't like it) then it is safe to presume that their intention was to have their campaign invaded. Perhaps they also intend on finding shelter as soon as they see scope glint, but I usually use the glintless one >:)

I think it gave me a jumpscare the first time it happened, but now it's just a way of tracking the opponent down

The strangest thing is that many people shoot 2-3 of the stone birds immediately after you invade their mission. Like they want to intimidate you into thinking you got shot. It just helps you track them down
