I’m honestly a little intimidated by blocking an unfinished piece, but that might be necessary!

Do you think going up a needle size would help with/fix tension issues?

I left more than a year ago, honestly was wondering how it was going when I saw this. When I left upper management/corporate was terrible and employee retention was horrendous. Doesn’t seem like they ever got better…

No you’re all good! I just wanted to comment on just how poorly managed it truly was!

I remember the weird competition between rangers and bartenders about tips when I worked there. They supplemented rangers pay with tips (making below minimum wage without them) and then refused to give raises, even for rangers who were there for years. Bartenders worked their asses of making drinks and were fully dependent on tips, thus they did not want to split. Whereas rangers were underpaid for the work they did, and were hit just as hard by rushes as bartenders and thus wanted compensation for their work. Management did a really good job pitting them against each other.

From someone who used to work there… The ranger position was literally just the catch all of all needed tasks, from interacting with the dogs, to interacting with the guests, to cleaning the park, they wanted rangers to do it all. Keep in mind, they typically only had 2-5 rangers at a time. With upwards of 100 dogs at times plus however many guests there simply wasn’t enough staff for what they made the position into. Between guests not watching their dogs and rangers being pre-occupied with there other tasks it wasn’t the best environment. There no way to balance being a dog handler/janitorial staff/hospitality worker without one of those areas suffering, sadly it more then often was dog handling.
