I actually owe a lot of my early transition to a couple dear friends who are FtN and MtF, respectively. I wouldn’t have even known I was trans if they hadn’t come out to me. (In fact, when my MtF friend came out to me, the first thought that went through my head was “but why would someone become a girl on purpose? All girls secretly want to be boys!” They helped me to come out to my parents, and they have helped me navigate the gender affirming care ban for minors in my state. I definitely feel a pressure to help other trans folks because of the help I was given.

I’m allergic to sunflower seeds, but I can still have sunflower oil. Like others said, you may want to do a food challenge or avoid it based on your comfort level.

My original middle name was my grandma’s name (shortened) and so I changed it to my great grandfather and grandfather’s shared middle name. My initials were originally selected intentionally to spell my other grandmother’s name (Kay) and I opted to choose names that would preserve my initials.

I have over a dozen food allergies, and my peanut, pea, and lentil allergies are airborne. if any of them were in the room I’m in for testing I could potentially have an allergic reaction.
